Hi Mike,
The reason I believe you hear the tinnitus more in the evening is because you are less active & you hear it more b/c you pay more attention to it.
I hear in more when my day is coming to an end but I don't give into the noise & try & keep busy.
hi jess, at first i thought that too but i tried covering my ears completely during the day and the noise level is actually lower than evening. it also seems lower when standing than laying down. can't figure out what could be causing these changes
yep saw several, they all said there isn't any fluid or vacuum in there.. but this all started after a bout of sinusitis so i thought the same thing...
I think the answer depends on a mixture of things: amount of sleep, stress/anxiety during the day, and diet for example.
Speaking for myself, getting a good night's rest is paramount. When I don't get enough sleep, I pay for it with a spike in volume. This coupled with stress (from work and/or commute) really amplifies it. But, I just refuse to let T into my life and I hold it at bay.
Mine is zero when I wake up and it increases almost everyday in the evening. Could be a somatic T and related to neck muscles that are tired at the end of the day? Also, after a nap, it decreases to zero.
