Hey TT peeps, been awhile since I have been on. Sorry for the absence. Just took a break to get on with life. But recently realized...... I need you guys!! You were all there for me during the gnarly first months and years and I am so appreciative and thankful. I have habituated mostly, and thought I was in the clear, but as many of you know too well, unfortunately chronic acute tinnitus never completely releases you. Encouragement to those you read this post is my life is WAY better than it was when I joined TT!!! There is hope!! I am so thankful to my TT community, I wouldn't be where I am now without you! To those who are struggling, please hang on and soldier though, and stay connected here on TT!! Thanks for hearing me out. Peace.

Hi Jeff M,
Thank you for your post and update and hope you can draw strength that you will cope better again but know how rough it can be .
I have cronic Bilateral tinnitus from Menieres and fighting a battle with my ears these last few days and been in tears.
Staying positive but it's hard going at the moment ........lots of love glynis

Hi Jeff, thanks for the positive update. Time and a positive attitude plus some good strategies can help a lot. It is always nice for an old face to come back to report some positives. For the newbies, the future is not always bleak and dark as the initial T suffering would try to paint a gloomy future. Things will get better. Thanks again for the nice update.

Hi Jeff,
Glad to hear you are doing so well! We really find out how strong we are when life demands that. Thanks for the uplifting post!

Hi Jeff,

Lovely to hear from you again! Sorry that you've had a bit of a recent setback, it's a bugger for coming back at you this thing. Glad you are keeping well and habituated.

Hey Jeff, good to hear you are more or less doing fine. I hit four years in July. I am about in the same place you are in now. You're post pretty much took the words out of my mouth..

Take Care, Gary

I understand that. After 3 years of very bothersome tinnitus and 1 year of on/off very bothersome tinnitus, I think I have really been making some progress now. I think it has to do with getting the "fight or flight" symptoms under control. I believe that is what was causing me to get really messed up. Right now, I have the adrenaline low due to some supplements, meds, and longtime exposure to it and am "okay". I am hoping now to cut back a little on either the supplements or meds and feel even better. Hearing aides with maskers help too but aren't necessary. :) I can see some bumps in the road ahead but hopefully nothing near where I was 3 years ago!!
