Hi... I've had T for 6 weeks now... It has been getting better since I started taking prednisone 11 days ago. But today my right side of the jaw really hurt and I can barely open without pain.... Also the right ear is the one I have T on. Plus my bottom right wisdom tooth erupted but not all the way.... I have tmd as well... I just want to know what can I take for pain that Wong spike my T or interfere with the prednisone... help help!

Rina, have you been to a dentist or jaw specialist about your jaw problems? I'm sure they could give you something for your pain as well as perhaps help with the jaw problems (which could easily be related to your T).

I have! This coming Wednesday I have an appt with the orthodontist to go over all the x Rays and dental exams and samples of my teeth ... He said I have tmd... He said he can help me with the tmd but he can't promise T will go away... He can only hope... We will see

Hi Rina, Parecetamol is a safe pain killer for people like us that have tinnitus. I also sometimes have pain in my jaw, eyes, troath, and use 500mg paracetamol and it helps. Hope you get better.

I think we should be careful to always point out that tylenol (paracetamol) is probably reasonably safe if used infrequently. Used regularly, there's a decent amount of evidence that it contributes to hearing loss.

Regular use of aspirin, NSAIDs, or acetaminophen increases the risk of hearing loss in men and the impact is larger on younger individuals.
(women were not evaluated in this one particular study)
