What Does This Mean, Temporarily Able to Quiet My Tinnitus?

I have had mine for 7 years, just seemed to arise from no where during a stressful time.

I noticed after a shower my tinnitus will temporarily lower, and at work I can spray water into a 5 gallon bucket and after about 10 seconds of that my tinnitus goes super low to gone for a few minutes.

Why is that, if I play rain sounds or white noise on my phone it doesn't effect my tinnitus.

Thanks. Was hoping it meant something good. Like my tinnitus might benefit from a certain kind of treatment.
