Hello! I live in South Carolina and, after doing the whole round of ENT / audiologist visits and getting the usual response about lack of treatment options, I'm looking for a place that might offer a solution or know more about options.

Specifically looking for a more robust solution than just masking or habituation and would love to have options for neuromodulation treatments. Does anybody know of a place that might do this?

As an added challenge, my ENT told me many of the local folks or clinics that claim to be specialists are more along the line of snake oil... they may offer what you want to hear on a website but really not have those options (or just cost money).

Gotcha. Would love to know more about efficacy of the treatments elsewhere.

I just looked into the Tinnitus Mix. I had no idea it existed. Going to give it a shot.

Thanks for pointing it out to me!

Ok, but know, I was kinda joking about that. That being said, I'm not so sure that it doesn't work. He seems to have a great deal of testimonials and I really doubt he is lying about them. If you are going to try that therapy, you apparently need good headphones that go above 20 kHz and a way to loop the sound file and listen to it overnight for a few weeks.

I listened to it for a few hours and it gave me a horrendous spike but I didn't follow his instructions.

Good luck!

There are a few places (near me, I live in California) that do it. I'm sure they exist in many other places across the US. I wouldn't recommend it to you not because it's painful to find, or expensive, but simply because the results just aren't there, unfortunately.

I do not think the Tinnitus Mix found on this site can help much either (I'd be cautious about using it - I've analyzed it and wouldn't recommend it).

The current "hot trend" in treatment is bi-modal stimulation. That is currently available in Ireland, from a company called Neuromod. There is a thread on this forum about it, but it's not available in the US (or anywhere but Ireland) yet.

Can you explain a little more about what kind of analysis you did on the Tinnitus Mix?

That's good to know about. Personally I'm at the point where any news or even testimonials is good news and worth at least looking into. Looking forward to seeing the compiled success stories the founder of this site has been working on, related to that. Do have to take a lot with a grain of salt.

I downloaded the tonal tinnitus therapy app on google play.. It sends me reminders to use it every day, and is recommended for four hours each day (with 30 minutes being a more minimal option). I haven't gotten in the habit of using it yet, but at the very least it has worked to help define the tone of my T as you can save different tones. After doing that over the course of a few weeks, while all the tones I saved weren't the same, there were a few that were consistent. Very helpful in that way, at least.
