Hey Brooklynfall! Just checking in to see how things have been with you! You left on a good note so hoping no news is good news but just wanted to check in! :)
Sadly I knew I would be back here some day. That it would get worse eventually, but I hoped it wouldn't. A simple thing I thought, a middle school orchestra concert, it shouldn't be to bad, and it wasn't until 4 days later. I still don't know if this is a spike or the new normal. Somewhat milder day yesterday, followed a terrible day, with reactivity and my brain just doesn't want to deal with it.
Hey marqualler, I've been looking through your posts and have been finding a lot of inspiration from you as a newbie tinnitus sufferer! Only being 23, I haven't found many people around me who understand and people like you make me feel a lot less alone and a lot more hopeful! I just wanted to reach out and let you know! Here's to a gentle and quiet 2025!!!

Hi @lillieg thanks for reaching out! I'm glad my posts made you feel more hopeful. Cheers to 2025, you got this!
I thought I would never have to deal with the problem of tinnitus, but I was wrong, of course I was wrong...
Terrible night, intensive fireworks for over 1 hour. I'm a wreck. T raging, earpain and migraine. Happy New Year.
Seconds after the year change, I got a huge SBUTT that seemed to be coming from the center of the head. Then one ultra high pitched in the right ear. Now having a MEM episode. Great start.
Happy new year. 2024 was woeful and the first year with T but I'm determined to have a better year learning to deal with this. Stay strong everybody 💪
Are you the same @MaximBrutii on Reddit? That posted about hydroxyzine? I just took my first pill and am freaking out, since I just got this mess from Wellbutrin in November, I've been pretty much an insomniac this week so… any advice or words of encouragement to ease my brain?
How are you doing, Matthew? Has your tinnitus faded any? Has your hearing improved?
MatthewR
Thank you for asking. And the answer is yes. I'm doing much better. Tinnitus is there, still have hearing damage but I can live a normal life for the most part. Im so happy to have healed as much as I have it's insane…. It's a whole story id like to share one day. How are you holding up Mark?
Mark F.
Glad to hear things are calming down/getting better for you! You are soooo young (I am 55), I bet you continue to improve with more time. Being young really helps when it comes to healing.
Mark F.
I am doing pretty good, all things considered. Still have tinnitus, but I am used to it and it rarely freaks me out anymore. Ear pain and hyperacusis are gone! I am very vigilant about using earplugs and/or earmuffs if I am in a noisy environment. I have faith things will continue to improve with TPP. Time, Protection, Patience.
Hey Mark, in really struggling with my tinnitus at the moment and could do with a little hope. Did you see any improvement in the first 3 monthes or was it not until the 4/5 month point?
re-animator
Well after 2 monthes I started to mellow a bit but then suddenly I seemed to go backwards. My sleep has also been reduced to 2/3 hours a night. Been pretty hard but im very fortunate to have a loving family who are trying their best to support me. I'm glad your anxiety has improved alot!
Mark F.
Do you get regular exercise? Just going for walks outdoors can really help ease your mind, even if it's only temporary. Weight-lifting and running/biking can also help a bunch. The idea being to work/exercise to the point you're exhausted at the end of the day...and consequently you sleep longer/better.
re-animator
No but im going to look at joining a gym tomorrow. As you say the tiredness from the exercise will probably help. The anxiety has lessened now....I just feel quite depressed but I think if I can resolve the sleep issue that this will improve. The tinnitus doesn't intrude much whilst I'm at work it's just being tired really. Hope your doing ok.
Well a positive if there is one to pull from this... The distortion or sound when I speak has gone away about 95%. T is still more reactive and piercing than before and its been humming in silence like crazy (that is an ongoing off and on thing), hopefully that's temporary as well... only time will tell. Don't get complacent is all I can say, no matter how well you think your doing it take minutes to undo it all.
hello! just wondering how you're doing now? have you taken any other medication or vaccines since getting T? how did it go? thanks!
Hello, do you have the link to that ebay auction :) ?
lymebite
if you search on "Konftec" it will come right up, it is the only Konftec listing on all of eBay
I feel this spike is going to be permanent. I don't know what to do. Like I said I am tired, so damn tired of
this...

Just noticed there is a new tone... Fml :grumpy:
Sodlin
Lately my TT has been having so many tones thats i cant even "hear it" its like so many sounds that i cant even find the original TT by all the other sounds. Its weird. I know 1 is from muscles since i only hear it when i "do things" like bend over to pick stuff up and etc but im around 3-6 sounds now depending how im feeling.
I'm doing good right now, feeling normal and quiet. I'm not sure if drinking diluted DMSO plus putting some in my ear canal is helping? Time will tell.
