  • In my right ear my T sounds like church bell ringing. Yet, I find H to be worse than T
    Leila
I think everybody who's ever dealt with H will agree with your statement.
since 2017 I could live with it pretty well. the T didnt bother me anymore. Now, I got T and H back, worse, after binge watching netflix.
I have T since 1,5 years now. And I have adapted. Only thing is that my ears are always under pressure,' and closed
Im starting to lose my hearing. t since 13 months, used headphones again. Now I hear a lot less which scares the shit out of me :((
    InfiniteLoop
Did you get an audiometry or is just a personal opinion?
    Zora
Just a personal opinion. I have to lean towards the person who is talking. like a granny. When someone is having a presentation I have to sit in the first row.
    InfiniteLoop
I had the same thoughts, but I went to the audiologist and I go the same audiometry results as 3 years ago. No change.
All I want is my T to be gone :(( is that too much to ask for as a 20 year old ? :( it still makes me sad
I started uni a couple of days ago. All my friends are going to a student party in a disco, but I cant join them :((( thanks to f*cking T :(

that really sucks... but you made thr right choice
    R
Stay in and watch movies with friends! You don't need to be bored with T zora.
Not habituated after 9 months. In every other aspect of life I am happy. But I hate my T :( it scares me and makes me sad
Hey! Thanks for the follow! Did you know that makes you the only T acquaintance I have in life aha. Hope you're doing ok.
    Zora
Hey :) yes,I really like your attitude towards having T :) I am doing good, yes. What about you?
    T
Wooo glad to hear you're are doing good! It sounds like you're making progress :) Ye I think attitude is key, I just accept I have T and try not to let it change things too much for me - Don't get me wrong though, I still have my occasional moments like getting annoyed at motorcyclists as they roar past my ear haha
Hey Zora, I hope I did not offend by my posts on my thread. I have re-read what I have written and completely get where you are coming from. In the same thread, I have also posted a video that made me habituate so quickly. I hope this helps.
    T
Also, T could be worse. At least it's not contagious making us all socially feared! I had to habituate quickly, as my depression was effecting my parents too. *Big Hug*
I cannot forgive myself for listening to music that loud and giving T to myself. I hate myself for that. I cannot accept or forget it.
    InfiniteLoop
Don't blame on yourself. It never helps. Life happens, you were not consciously trying to get T. Stop giving emotional meaning to the T and anything related to it.
    bill 112
I can relate,I didn't cause my T but I partly blame myself for the utter mess I'm in now.I stare at myself in the mirror with utter disgust at myself,I hate myself.I feel I was given chances and I managed to fuck everyone up and now I deserve every bit of suffering I'm going through now.Its hard to accept it and K doubt I ever will:(
    Sailboardman
What's done is done and you can't reverse the past. I've beat myself up for the same stuff and it doesn't help.
I dont want to do this anymore. its causing me so much stress and my Derealization isnt making things easier! :-((
    Zora
thank you @bill 112 and thank you @John G ! do you have Derealization as well?
    John G
More like a spaced out feeling. Hard to concentrate. T and H. I know the ETD probably causes these symptoms.
    John G
Although I have never really read up about that derealization thing. I may have it also haha
One fucking day I will habituate. It might take time and patience, but I will, and I want to!
    daniel1111
@Zora <ine's quite mild and always has been. I've been playing soccer (football!) TOO.
    Zora
@daniel1111 do you also play matches? how do you deal with the referees whistle?
    daniel1111
@Zora yes I do, the whistle doesn't seem to be a problem for me. i just looked up the spl of those whistls and it seems like you'd need one going off right next to your ear for a full 30seconds+ to cause any damage. that just doesn't happen.
    Hi, Zora,
I agree with you about the different levels of tinnitus. For some people, tinnitus is not bothersome and mild. But for others, it is a miserable and life-changing condition. I hope you are doing well today!
I decided that I will take ADs bc I cant live with my depression anymore. Anyone I can chat to? There are so many different opinions on ADs
    just1morething
Okay, maybe a mood stabilizer would help?
    Zora
Maybe..do you have experiences with some?
    AnxiousJon
I recommend SSRI's. I use Paxil; amazing for my anxiety. They take 2-4 weeks to kick in though; you'll want something immediate in the meantime like Klonopin or a non-serotonin supplement like L-Theanine.
Since T started, I read on TT every day. Focussing on T. My challenge: one week without TT. Trying to distract myself.lets see how it goes
    Blackbird26
    It's a good idea...and will help.
    InfiniteLoop
Yes, TT is very addictive. One has to keep the balance to get knowledge and support without becoming more obsessed about T.
I need to learn how to stop listening to my T. I dont have a job atm and no friends, so distracting becomes hard.
    Zora
@just1morething maaate! i dont understand what your saying? Are making fun of me again? Are you asking me to skype with you? Hah sorry but I really dont get it. I do speak english as I had English for 8 years in school, and spent 1 year abroad in Australia. SomI definitely speak good english but I still dont understand what you want from me :D
    just1morething
@Zora, I'm new to Skype and was just seeing who would try it with me that has T. I don't want anything from you Zora. I'm not making fun of you lol. Skype voice I meant.
    Zora
    Sure we can try it
I didnt cry since a very long time...now I cant hold back the tears "What doesnt kill you makes you stronger" I dont think so..I want to die
    Sailboardman
Most likely, your T will soften after awhile and slowly ease it's way out of your life. It probably won't totally leave, so prepare for that. You're young enough to bounce back and see a treatment, so don't despair and think this is for life. As JimH commented, seek out an AD and don't give up! I know you don't have to much belief in God, but it might be time to start? Can't hurt. Stay cool!
    Zora
Thank you @Sailboardman I hope so..what kind of treatment? Actually I have 0 belief. And I cant force it. I already tried. I will :) you too, thanks
    Sailboardman
There are so many researchers working on finding a treatment or cure, someone has to hit on one eventually.
Just got refused from AM 101, because my T is not explosion induced :((( dont know what to do..
anyone here I can talk to concerning anxiety issues?
    Dutchy
I think there's a lot of people here that qualify to that request, what's your problem?.
    Zora
I think my T is not that bad. I mean its horrible, but in comparison to other people I think my T is mild and I should be happy. But my mind is on constant high alert. and I cannot calm my unconscious mind down. I tried meditating and craniosacral therapy. Nothing helps
    Zora
what Im tryna say is my anxiety is really fkng strong. and thats what I cant calm down although atm I am laying in my warm bed, being totally relaxed but my subconscious mind is not! should I make a thread for that?
This is torture!! Dont know how to distract myself anymore..
    AnxiousJon
Right but it's mormons that believe in eternal sexual relations and procreation. I thought that's what you were trying to reference.
    just1morething
So what religion are you then may I ask? I had a jk after my sentence.
    AnxiousJon
    Protestant Christian(Amillennial Calvinist-Baptist)
Now my therapist officially diagnosed me with Depression. GREAT!
    Zora
I dont want to take meds. it doesnt help longterm.
    AnxiousJon
Yeah I didn't either, till it destroyed my health, and I had nothing left. And now I'm doing great with a drug that is safe and effective "longterm". Maybe taking pride in your ability to make it without them will become less important as you reach the end of your rope.
But hey, I hope you can get better without them.
    just1morething
Could be worse, you could have tinnitus and depression.:) I haven't figured out a good coping method with tinnitus yet either and that is depressing.
