  • Today I stare at the ceiling with bittersweet emotions. I'm ready to forgive myself for how I risked my ears in middle school. I'm now almost 3 years free from using earphones / headphones
I hear it loud and clear and it's not like any other night.. I shouldn't have risked my ears.. I'm full of regret and melancholy
that normally has a veryyyy loud setting, if I have to use ear plugs then I will, but I guess I'm just nervous because I've never used (2/3)
Does anyone know a way I can protect my ears without ear plugs? I don't know why I fear them but I do— and I need to attend an event (1/3)
Maybe if I treated tinnitus as a part of me, as a friend, as a carved, wonderful flaw in my body, I'll be able to get a long with it well.

Look up "kintsugi", the art of repairing broken pottery using gold, thus fixing them and making them more beautiful and whole in spite of their flaws. Even if the tinnitus never leaves, you can be whole, you can still be you <3

@silentnight thank you for your recommendation! I'll check it out :) I feel as if I've heard of it before ..
Was listening to an ambience / music box and music kept playing in my head after .. can't have anything these days tysm tinnitus
Lately I've been paying way too much attention to my T, enough to make my heart drop for a hot second and the anxiety to rise for a few mins
I think it'd be much more rewarding if my T switched to like.. the noise you hear in a seashell or something, but that's impossible
I feel like it may be because I'm up at like 4 am and super tired that's why it's gotten that bad, it's never sounded that annoying before
I've got a horribly painful headache that's been there for days. And a whole lotta pain in my ears and between them!! Teeeeerrible
just got a long spike for NO reason at all.. it just spiked for no reason out of the blue and wont return to baseline :(
My tinnitus has been laying low For a while now, I hope it continues to do so. I barely notice it at night too as I'm always distracted
hey tt, it's been a while :) uni is just around the corner. I'm pretty nervous, but I hope everything will be alright.
Hmm .. 3rd day of tinnitus spike, maybe it'll go back to baseline or I'll get use to it

@HearingHell i don't pay attention to it in the morning anymore, just at night :') working on habituation again
    cyberspace
having this condition at such a young age is so fucked, just turned 19 the other week and ive had t since I was 15

@cyberspace couldn't have said it any better; how am I supposed to enjoy my life while I watch everything around me collapse because I can't go a full day without getting a spike?
I don't know what spiked my T but it came out of the blue and ever since I can't seem to push any habituation up front. It's so loud.

I am so sorry. Same happened to me.

@4Grace man :( I would've understood if I used earphones or been somewhere loud but I haven't and that's why I'm confused as to why it's spiking all of a sudden
@lanterns&coffee just seeing your profile now. How have you been doing? Did you recover from going to the party?
    lanterns&coffee
Hey grace! Sorry for the late reply. At the time, yes, I did recover :)

That's a great sign. I know a lot of people that have T and have been going out for years, they get a temporary spike then after a while it always comes back down. Not saying you should not be careful, happy it came back down for you.
Wow okay ouch. My ears hurt so bad, I went to a party a few hours ago and I wish I didn't. My head hurts as if I'm inside a bell.
On a positive note, I'm so much more positive than I was when I first got t. I thought my life would be torn away, but t would never!!
My t is spiking really bad on the left & I have a truck noise in the centre of my head . It's almost 3 in the morning. I just want to sleep.
