    Keep Waking Up Every Hour

I went through a period like that too. Have you looked up some tips on getting a good nights sleep. There are things you can try, cool dark room, no TV, don't eat too late. Easy on the caffeine. I tried melatonin, helps get to sleep but never kept me asleep. Benadryl is another inexpensive thing...

    Foods Against Anxiety

This is an area I spend a lot of time researching and I find drinking tea, at least two cups a day seem to help me. The most talked about is green tea but there are those who believe, I am one, that regular black tea works just as good. I also find if I skip a meal my anxiety begins to creep in.

Otoharmonics (The Levo® Therapy System for Tinnitus)

I have been to 4, maybe 5 Audiologists in the last 3 years and I find it very difficult to find a solid frequency match. I can get close and it might seem good for the moment but in the end I know it's not. When pressed most Audiologists I have seen admit the ability to match is rare. My...

Otoharmonics (The Levo® Therapy System for Tinnitus)

The problem with that is the only way to come up with those specific engineered sounds for each it the complete reliance on the patient being able to accurately identify their frequency match. A very difficult if not impossible thing to do. I've been trying to get a solid match for years, I can...

Evaluation of the CR Neuromodulation Treatment for Tinnitus (RESET2)

If any of this stuff really really worked, the word would spread like wild fire and we would all be lining up to buy them. The fact remains that they only help a few "lucky" people who I have to wonder would habituate on there own with no expensive device. If you want to use sounds you can use...

Otoharmonics (The Levo® Therapy System for Tinnitus)

I see no convincing evidence that these very expensive iPods do anything that any other cheap affordable sound playing device can do. Sound is sound and not some mysterious medicine. I use my iPhone and have several sound files that seem to help me and use sleep phones to listen while asleep, it...

Making Notched White Noise, Help Needed

Use Google and search for notched sound files. You will find dozens and dozens already done that you can play on Youtube. Just search for the frequency you want.

    I Can't Do Work Anymore

Get a good pair of hearing protecting ear muffs and you can still cut your lawn. That's one place where protection is necessary. There are a lot of people who over protect in places where it's really not necessary but any power tool needs to be used with protection.

Aluminum + Your Ears = No Tinnitus...

Funny thing is I've been interested in doing something about my head sweating which has become a major problem. The sweat gets into my hearing aids and shorts the battery. It takes forever to dry them out. I have sweat guards but they are bulky, uncomfortable and I am afraid of losing a hearing...

    Any Experience with Zyrtec?

I took it for years and found I could do well on one 10mg cut in half and taken about once every two or three days. Good news is my allergies seem to have settled down to where I only rarely have to take anything for them.

    Clonazepam (Klonopin, Rivotril)

Hard to say for sure but I have used them sparingly when I am at my worst and after a short course of them I do seem better but I think that's because they helped me break the cycle of anxiety and start either ignoring or just getting used to my tinnitus again. In my about 4 years I have had...

New University of Michigan Tinnitus Discovery — Signal Timing

With such a small number of participants this device is years away. Just to keep this all in perspective. https://www.fda.gov/ForPatients/Approvals/Drugs/ucm405622.htm

New University of Michigan Tinnitus Discovery — Signal Timing

I'm 64, tinnitus 4 years. I just make it, wonder if that's why I didn't get the call. Age discrimination I tell ya, LOL. Honestly, these style therapies have been around for a long time, even this clinic has had it for years and I will remain hopeful but not holding my breath for any commercial...

New University of Michigan Tinnitus Discovery — Signal Timing

Well if they need people, I'm ready, I emailed the study and then emailed as many individuals as I could find their email addresses. I told them I am retired with plenty of time to devote to whatever they need but so far no takers.
