    w-drak
My friend, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.
    this spike is terrible :(
    Red
Yes, I have a single hissing tone that cannot be masked with white noise but can be masked by a shower.
    Red
Previously was mild and improving all the time. Decreased to the point of TV blocking it.
    dpdx
@Red, same here. i could only hear my in quiet places, now i hear it everywhere, the only place where i dont hear it is the shower.
Fire alarm went off in the library...massive SPIKE :(
    Red
    Hang in there, okay?
    dpdx
no, its really bad. I developed a new sound.
Got a nasty spike from going to the mall without earplugs :( I made such good progress though, T was barely noticeable :(

Bro, I feel your struggle. I'm 19 and I got tinnitus and hyperacusis Nov 24 from Black Friday; friend played a 3 minute song loudly. Riding the wave with ya, just know that you have another ringing bro!
    dpdx
I can life with Tinnitus as my dosent bother me. I am just bothered by TMJ and ETD. It causes ear pain and pressure. I consider it worse than T.

Hold on my friend, it's a long way still. Doing far better myself after 4 months in. H gone and T half volume. Best of lucks.
    Santiago Biagi
Some days I Have ear pressure as well that I can equalize by popping, getting that checked out soon with ETD.
    My beautiful life fell apart..

It will take time, you should start seeing improvement next year. How bad is your H?
    TheDanishGirl
not that bad.....it only hurts slightly when people talk loudly or laugh loudly.....I can easily live with it.....T on the other hand kills me slowly.
    dpdx
I think ETD is worse than everything i had so far. For me T and H are not bothersome at all. H is fading and T is not meh, not bothersome either, but ETD is awful. It really messed me up for good. i stopped eating, going outside, etc etc
so i guess this is life from now on..
    Red
You say that very often. Do you repeat it to help it sink in or are you just unable to accept it?
    TheDanishGirl
@Red I also say that sentence to myself often and it is because I want to help it sink in and accept it.
    TheDanishGirl
I still have many moments where I am in denial and cant believe I actually have tinnitus now.
I acquired T 9 months ago and it has faded quite a bit. I'll be 51 in 2 weeks. So, DPDX, hang in there. The odds and youth are in in your favor BIG TIME! From the research I've done, if your T changes in volume, brain location, etc. and sounds like electric static most of the time, these are all positive signs for recovery. (3 of 3)
    dpdx
yes, i hear the electric static :)
    TheDanishGirl
Mine is also kind of electrical, but I have not seen any improvement in the 6½ months I have had it :(
    dpdx
it is fading, it dosent bother me anymore as there is only one sound which is ringing and its mild.
I acquired T from a loud power tool in a confined space. You've got youth on your side. With a little patience, you'll find your T less annoying in combination with hopeful fading. I've been to concerts, shot many weapons in the Army with little protection, and worked with loud power tools. (2 of 3)
Hello DPDX... I stumbled across your post in another TT article then followed up on your progress to date. I hope you don't mind the intrusion. I want to encourage you that the odds are in your favor of this being temporary. There are so many stories about people of all ages recovering completely from T. (1 of 3)
I have to accept that this will be my life from now on.
    T
    I feel you.
    Red
Yes, I agree with this outlook and think it is the one that leads to a happier life.
    dpdx
there is no happier life anymore
My life has been put on pause, can it resume to how it was?
    Ricardo1991
Why yes! If it helps, try carrying your house/ car keys in your hand and go for a long walk. When your T starts to give you grief, just give your keys a jingle. That's what I started doing last year through the rough patches. Hope this helps,- Richie
    feeling doubtful...

Everything is still fresh in your case. Try to be as strong as possible! Fingers crossed for you (and for the whole T community actually).
