  • I sleep on my right side. When I wake up tinnitus is louder on that side...hoping for no more worsenings. At least for as long as possible.
3rd day in a row with headaches in the evening. It feels like it's because of the T. Hopefully the headaches go away. Anyone have this?
Do you guys use electric shavers? My dad has one and my phone says it makes about 61 dB and idk if I wanna use it.
Ok. Screeching bus brakes can't hurt me if I'm inside. Right? I have good windows and blinders as well. They sound so unpleasant though!
sound of 2 porcelain glasses hitting one another sent a weird shock wave into my ear and down my neck. Such a minor sound yet it affected me
Ik T doesn't make you objectively dumber but it keeps distracting me and it's just not the same 100% I used to give.

Same. Although I never been particularly smart, but had a good memory and was very diligent. That's gone. I don't know whether it's due to depression, the relentless sounds or the sleep deprivation. Probably all of the above.

Can you guys mask with music when you need something done urgently? I can for a bit before is riles up my T. If I need to get something done music and caffeine are a good bet.

@GBB I can always get everything done. It's not so much that it makes me unable to do the task in hand. It's more the fact that I constantly think about it while doing anything else. If it is really distracting me though, I just play a soft fan sound on my a phone. I found it works a treat. :)
    T especially loud tonight.

    Same. One ear in particular.
    G
For me it calmed down a bit in the morning. Hoping the same for you.
    Steph1710
It did calm down eventually. I have one particular tone pattern that hypes up sometimes. It overrides all my other sounds. I have four other ones that are much more tolerable. Hope you're doing okay today.
Watch out for fireworks these next days!
    TheDanishGirl
Yes, Ive been watching out for weeks :/ People are crazy about fireworks in my country, and fire them of for weeks. But the next couple days I am staying inside for sure. Happy safe new year to you.
    Kriszti
I'm "happy" because most forms of fireworks are banned this year. Still means that up to 120dB is allowed, but I hope that people will be a bit more careful, and that I don't have to relive last year's hell.
If I were to post every single time my T gets worse I'd be spamming so hard. I hate my life.

I think if you were to do that, together with what might might triggered it, it would help a lot of people.
    G
@Bill Bauer I think it might have to do with more than sound but I don't understand what. For example, I used 3M 1100 earplugs while using my laptop, which has fans, but the noise wouldn't bother any normal person. I didn't have any loud accidents. I don't understand at all.
Anyone having the problem of foam earplugs instantly coming back to their original shape after rolling them down? I have to be crazy quick.

It usually happens when they are worn. Try to change them, or else change the brand.
    Bill Bauer
Try spending more time rolling and squeezing them, say 30-60 seconds...
    G
@buttercake idk how they could be worn. They're single use and in the original packaging. Stored in good conditions. 90% of the time I use 3M 1100.
