  • I don't blame anyone who doesn't believe me but my t gets louder or a new tone everytime I go outside. Today was the drop to fill the glass
Can't find ALCAR. Does anyone know if N-Acetyl L-Carnitine similar enough? It is about half the price, that's for sure.

    Did you try checking amazon?
    G
I'm not from the US and the way international shipping is handled here is so annoying, having to explain and show what's inside. Thanks for the suggestion. I'll keep searching.

I've used both. If you can't get ALCAR, try N-Acetyl L-Carnitine.
People tell me to live my life but it's been proven again&again that will only make my tinnitus louder. It's not a choice. I don't like this
Wore double protection in car (3m 1100 earplugs and peltor x5a) still got (hopefully) spike. What else am I supposed to do?

Funny cause I've got an old car and my T never spikes from it. I drove ten hours on Friday and not even the slightest spike happened. I'm grateful cause I've have to drive a lot. I do wear ear plugs.

@Kriszti me too! Certain things spike my T whether I protect or not (and some aren't loud at all) which is just so confusing

The spike still didn't subside. :( Start was on Saturday. Edit 08 aug: it was a worsening after all.
I am 90% sure a neighbour poisoned my cat. To say I am very sad would be a huge understatement.
I'm not saying I hate babies. But I hate the loud sounds they make.
    Kriszti
I love babies and I got so afraid of their crying and screaming that I try to avoid them, which is a shame, because my friends' have the cutest kiddos. :( This condition is just inhumane.
If tinnitus doesn't beat us, global warming will.

@ABakos As horrible as it it that about 1 million people died, I want to point out 23 mil recovered and world population is 7.6 billion. So nowhere near ending the world. It's just news clickbait.
I can't even count how many sounds I hear. I only perceive a tangled mess with only around 3-4 sounds standing out.

I hear you brother, I hear you. I'm terrible right now. Spinal pain also.
If my tinnitus is this loud now I don't want to know what it would be without NAC, Mg, Curcumin and avoiding loud sounds.

Based off my experience, probably the same, though those are good things to do in my opinion.
10 minutes I go out and a car screeches its brakes 10 meters behind me. Great. Hope it's gonna be just a mini spike.
Dropped a ceramic bowl I use to feed water to my cat. It was a 20cm drop at most in a ceramic sink. Should I be worried?
    Kriszti
I think you shouldn't. My mom dropped a metal bowl to the tile from like 2m right next to me. I freaked out, but it turned out OK. Take some magnesium and supplements for the nerves. I think you should be alright.

Worrying about stuff like that might have more effect that the actual noise

Agree with the above comment. The less I've worried about loud noises the less I got any reaction and fullness from hearing it. I used to react to dishes clanking together, but now today I stood next to a leaf blower for 2 minutes and didn't experience any spike or fullness.
