I think i would be ok if Zoloft didn’t work or had no affect. I couldn’t handle it tho if it made my T permanently worse . Guess it’s a case of Russian roulette.

Hi Everyone, Since having tinnitus for three years now, I have developed anxiety as well which is debilitating as it causes insomnia for me and it is overall having a negative effect on me... My GP had prescribed Zoloft and I have just been looking at it too afraid it’ll make my tinnitus...

My T started April 2015 and has reduced significantly too. I know it has Improved and changed because I used to describe the sounds I heard and after awhile I was sleeping better without any help from pills and did not describe them the same way. I had 'cricket' noises for about two weeks early...

Thought I would chime in too. I've seen an osteopath every month for 6 months since tinnitus started. If anything my T has improved since onset. @Stacey427 just wondering how you are doing now ? Could you give us an update ? Hopefully the spike did not become permanent for you.

I wish I knew the reason for my tinnitus so I can make sure I don't make matters worse! Right now I'm afraid to do anything for fear it may worsen my T!

Since onset 4 months ago, I thought I was making progress. My T had lowered in volume and my quality of sleep had greatly improved. Now it's only taken me two nights of bad sleep to realise the T monster can creep up behind you at any time. I don't want to socialise , I can't be bothered going...

Do all blood pressure meds cause tinnitus ? Is there a comprehensive list of which ones do or don't ?

Thanks - I did my own research and found that only loop diuretics may be ototoxic ; spiro does not fall under this category. I've also connected with two people who had tinnitus and was on spiro - didn't affect their T one way or the other (but everyone is different and I'm not a doctor..)

mines done that before. usually gets better overnight. otherwise 1-2 days. longest annoying spike was 1 week

I watched The Terminator without ear plugs and it didn't make my tinnitus worse. In fact if anything I had low tinnitus days the following few days. But the reason for my tinnitus is unknown so if yours is due to hearing loss be sensible to not exacerbate the situation. I do not go to clubs...

i can def feel my T, its either a buzz,hum or pulsating sensation. i used to hear crickets when it started but i never 'felt' anything then. now with the sounds i am left with i def can feel it vibrate.
