got a bit of a scare with what sounded like pulsatile tinnitus whenst arising from bed, but it subsided thankfully <3 slept uncomfortably???
Yahoo !!! I saw that you followed me and was pretty interested :3<3 how are you doing today? Hopefully's the T isn't loud !
    silentnight
@lanterns&coffee what i'm hearing is that we have to give Joe Biden debilitating tinnitus, and i completely agree!! what's the point having politics when there's pressing matterns concerning all of humankind!! we're all humans and we all need help, especially for our fragile fleshy bodies...
    silentnight
there's lasik and eyeglasses and surgery for eyes but for ears and hearing loss the options are so much more limited, bleh >.< at least we're still young!! i'll bet technology will come super far by the time we're elderly =^^=
    lanterns&coffee
@silentnight mhm!!! Just exactly that!! Couldn't have said it any better. Joe Biden should be sat in a very silent room so he can experience what we're all experiencing except everyday and throughout the day
likely MEM of stapedius. anyone know what nerves can affect this? think a NUCCA chiropractor can help?
    silentnight
update: not MEM due to it subsiding during calmness? gets worse with stress? muscle tension perhaps? also got better after a nasal spray, but that may be attributable to placebo or muffling of the ears?
theory: subconscious muscle tension on right ear causing stress/stapedius spasm? stop focusing on right ear???
    seppl
Can a spasm stapedius cause a humming(feels like vibrating)? It changes with the position of my head. When i plug my ear i hear a typwriter crackle.
quieter every time... but the closer i get, the more i fear the asymptote... what if silence shall be eternally over the horizon?
once i have done all i can do and achieved silence to the best of my ability, then i shall finally be able to exhale, and accept what's left
I just hope that when my neck is finally fixed and normal, I'll finally be able to rest... No other sounds, please!! <3
    silentnight
it's possible that i may have a bit of TTTS or MEM that would be able to take up my full attention if this buzz were to ever be fixed, and if that's true then i WILL be changing my occupation to god damn medical student AAAAAA
    having to be aware of my posture (and maybe FHP?) has made me realize just how many of my classmates are so slouched and hunched >~<;;
going to see a NUCCA chiropractor for the first time today, wish me luck!!~ ;u; hopefully will get some scans (and silence...?)
    silentnight
@Joe Cuber learned that x-rays are expensive ;u; and i wont get an actual "adjustment" of my bones until next visit on monday... but at least i got the scans!!
    laid in bed, and it was so quiet.. except a clicking in my right ear >_> tried adjusting my neck, was left with only more T >_>;;
    silentnight
it was totally quiet before i adjusted my neck and tried my exercises, what the heck!! i thought these things were supposed to make it quieter, not louder!!
fwaa.. somatic tinnitus has made me loathe being tall >,< i feel like i have to lean my head down for every single thing, grr!!
    Forever hopeful
Right? Not tall but I have somatic tinnitus in addition to my recent spike/ worsening. My main issue is turning my neck right left and chewing that's super loud. Yawning also very loud. I can tell I am under so much stress because normally those symptoms would be by midday and lately they're lasting all day. And I can tell my jaws are so painful.
T has been pretty quiet all day, but now I'm focusing on how my right ear feels full and deafer than the left. how the tables have turned...
    Forever hopeful
I get similar symptoms in one ear. My ET is weak in that ear and does not open regularly. I probably need a few days on a decongestant. I also have TMJ. Kills me ear. I don't get the deafness. Do you have HL?
    silentnight
@Forever hopeful I'm not sure, probably a mild amount from my days in the highschool band. My full ear also has tinnitus, but I don't believe I have TMJ. it's all so complicated ><
been doing so many chin tucks and neck exercises that the base of my neck hurts and i feel tired.. but it's pretty quiet..!!
    silentnight
now that i think about it, i may've just given myself cervical instability from how much exercising i did... or maybe my neck muscles are just tired and will be a lot stronger come tomorrow???
    S
Just try not too overdo it, do it in increments such as little and often and see how you get on.
    silentnight
@Strawberryblonde that's certainly the wise thing to do—i woke up with neck soreness and pain just from bending my neck back, so perhaps i really did overdo it yesterday... on the bright side, my neck is a lot looser now..?
suddenly the silentest night ive had in a while...? buzz 0.1/10, ringing 3/10?
    BrOKeN_1
Ask and you shall receive. 3 hours later damn! I'm happy for you.
    silentnight
@BrOKeN_1 whatever angels are out there may have decided to give me a moment of peace. that or my brain got so tired from having a breakdown that it just tuned out the tinnitus XD
(followup) i've also been having a headache and feeling sore, but i'll take it for having quieter tinnitus for the moment
was a desperate fool and tried two treatments concurrently, so now i don't know which actually helps. maybe both?
    Wrfortiscue
    What did you try?
    silentnight
@Wrfortiscue been trying neck exercises as recommended by my PT, as well as pressing down/massaging on where seems to cause the loudest spikes. seems to worked temporarily but it's still there...
    S
Definitely keep on at it if it seems to be having an effect.
neck exercises may just be helping.. holding onto hope!!!! <3
