@Lipshitz No one knows anything about you. You haven't posted a single thing about yourself. You showed up out of nowhere with blunt unsolicited advice
    L
Chronic T isn't a competition the point of the comment was to show that there are plenty of people suffering badly but they move on and they don't sit around pouting and crying looking for sympathy from strangers , but maybe some people aren't smart enough to realize the point behind some comments
Can yall suggest good anxiety/ depression medicine, because if the trazadone don't work this time I will have to get another medicine.
    L
Try getting a job and keeping busy that is the best solution for people who are struggling . Staying distracted for 8 to 10 hours a day reduces Tinnitus distress by a lot .
    SharonBell
@Lipshitz no I don't work I had to quit my job , because my T was getting worse and it was to loud where I worked. Do you have Tinnitus? I have been painting staying busy and I have gotten some houses lined up to clean so it's a start.
    L
There are millions that work with Tinnitus and work with earplugs or filter plugs , no need to quit a job , I drive Semis with earplugs in for 4 hours of my 8 hours driving , construction, musicians , carpenters , landscapers etc. All work with earplugs , quitting a job because of T is a sorry excuse .
It's like I felt like I was having a panic attack.
    SharonBell
@Lipshitz I couldn't wear ear plugs it made my T worse made my whole head sizzle. So don't say all work with ear plugs because you don't know all people and how everyone's Tinnitus is. I quit because I had to and couldn't wear ear plugs so don't say it's a sorry excuse to quit because of T. You don't know me and know how bad my T is. What makes you the expert about T?
    L
I'm not a expert on T , but I can tell you one sitting and feeling sorry for yourself and making excuses and looking for sympathy from strangers isn't going to help your cause it will only make it worse focusing on it
    L
I've seen comments on here about me attacking people , I didn't attack anybody people on here are so sensitive and look for any reason to feel like the world is out to get them cause you have a health condition , get used to it cause as we age there will be more health problems also it's part of life , stop crying and move on .
Do yall think a benzo would help more? I know they say with habituation it's hard taking a benzo. My anxiety was so high today.
    LukeYoung
I would give yourself more time before even thinkin of benzo's as they can be a russian roulette, it took me a good year or 2 before i was really alot better. It sounds like long time but it CAN get better on it's own. i Still have bad days, but i can go a few months without one.
I thought before the trazadone was making my head buzz worse. Unless I was thinking it was louder.
I think I'm going to start taking my Trazadone again tomorrow and I guess I can take it twice a day. I
Do yall know if the shore device can be for people with noise induced, virus induced, med induced. I
    HearingHell
The cause of your tinnitus doesn't matter. It should help regardless.
    SharonBell
Don't you have to wear headphones or something in your ears, I don't think I can do that because it makes my T so much worse. Makes my head sizzle.
    HearingHell
It's just one earpiece in one ear that plays brief, quiet sounds.
I was looking at peoples opinions about the Susan shore device. It talks about it being for somatic tinnitus.
Does anyone take clonazepam? I've seen a lot of people with tinnitus take it.
    L along the way
I use diazepam, a benzo like clonazepam. I never been a fan of pharmaceuticals, however, if i really can't get to sleep, i use it, and it has helped me at times
    SharonBell
I have actually taken diazepam before it helped with sleep. I need something for anxiety and depression.
    L along the way
@SharonBell for that i personally i use kratom. But someone else said it gave him t spike, and it may not work for everyone. For me it helps for anxiety and depression, but you should do your own research, if it is something for you. Also, responsable use, it can be addictive, and unhealthy.. personally i use on occasion..
4Grace I don't have pain in my ears. I do get spasms and thumping sometimes. Lord what I wouldn't do for just one day of silence.
    SharonBell
The noise in my head about drives me crazy and when I'm by myself I think about everything to much, I stay busy but I think about my Tinnitus all the time. How are you 4 Grace?
    4Grace
@SharonBell - if I copied and paste what you wrote it would summarize my condition. Plus some pain. I also have an extremely difficult situation at home. I am so so scared and exhausted.
    4Grace
@SharonBell - I want to begin taking a Med but terrified. Being home and not working is hard.
I'm ordering this pillow that has a whole in the middle from Amazon so I'm not laying on my ears.
Does anyone use a round pillow with a hole in it for your T. I have always slept on my sides but had to start going to sleep on my back.
    SarahMLFlemmer
    That's a good idea, actually!
    SharonBell
I actually didnt order one for Christmas but my son and his girlfriend ordered me one it will be here this week. I will let you know how it does.
Has it taken you. Do you do sound therapy and do you have hearing loss-hair cell damage? Do you have any suggestions on getting better?
Eleanor89 how long have you had tinnitus and how bad is yours? Do you have hyperacusis also? If you have gotten better how long
Don't forget to give me information about hyperacusis please.
    MindOverMatter
I have already responded to you regarding this @SharonBell
    Check your alerts.
I would also advice you to use the search function and type in Hyperacusis. You will get lots of info regarding this.
Hello Sharon I saw that you needed info about Hyperacusis I can give you information from my own personal experience
    SharonBell
Ok Sammy0225 that would be nice coming from someone that had it.
@SharonBell - I relate to your case. Can't sit still without doing something. I have been forcing myself to do it. After a year the pacing has improved. Food intolerance is high. God help us.
    SharonBell
Yeah I can't sit down and watch tv in living room I have to go into my bedroom where I have more sound going and it is still so hard to watch tv.
My anxiety had been so bad lately. If I could only relax in my house, but it's so hard to when yours ears and head buzzes-static 24/7.
    SharonBell
About 7 or 8 months. I had it in 2021 and 2022 when I had Covid but it was just ringing in ears and it went away both times. It's totally different now.
    4Grace
@SharonBell - I cannot sit of relax. Have to be talking or on the internet which I am tired of. I have lost the ability to do everything.
Tinnitus. Does anyone have hearing loss that has messed their hair cells up? My Tinnitus is in my head. Mine buzzes-static 24/7 nonstop.
    SharonBell
Didn't sleep very much last night. Time change and my Tinnitus so loud. I stayed up later trying to do my breathing and relaxation. I'm so tired.
    SarahMLFlemmer
I hate this condition in much. =( I am going to get an extended hearing test and an OAE on the 7th of December.
    TindalosKeeper
For me, I have a strong possibility it is SNHL, as I do hear badly in my bad ear, and I also have chronic Tinnitus in that ear that varies in intensity depending on how it behaves. Ask me questions, unless you were looking for people with my stuff?
    Thanks for the follow :)
