No that’s a good question. Me and my Chiro before the car accident thought my neck was causing the issues. I had subluxation in C1 and C2. Maybe it helped 5%? Nothing to really go crazy about though. Pretty sure it was ear damage from barotrauma, probably a PLF. Not sure at this point.

C1 / C2 isn't necessarily atlas. If there is something stuck work gently on it. It's necessary that the muscles aren't tight. This can be done by training your upper back muscles also.

@NiviaN How is your cervical spine? - your neck - Is your posture good? The C1 and C2 joint disks are inline with your temporomandibular joints. Do you do a lot of lifting with your neck bend forward?

I have had mouth guard for 12 years but I grind so much that I still put a lot of stress in my jaw and neck. Currently I have severe pain. NUCCA is like upper cervical chiropractor, but they specialize in the C1 and C2 and are very gentle.

Yes - With a jaw problem and being somatic C1 C2 scanning would be helpful. A scan over your jaw would also help. The L4 L5 may involve an injury such as falling, lifting something off balance with arms extended or bad posture.

I had a cervical MRI half a year ago, I have slight degenerative changes I had an MRI of my neck on March (had numbness in my hands back then) and it showed that my C5-C6 are dehydrated and have shortened + but the other vertebrae are fine... :dunno:

I hadn’t honestly considered using it for tinnitus but I’m waiting for Alpha-Stim to get back to me to confirm whatever protocol there is for that. I’ll have the underside of my head shaved next week for the TENS unit treatment and will keep you posted. :)

Wouldn't an MRI or ct scan show if your atlas is out of alignment?I had those and xrays and it didn't show anything wrong as far as c1 or c2 being messed up. but I went to a nucca and of course it was out .
