    @Backpacker, yes, it was gone after an ENT gave me Nasonex. I had eustachian tube dysfunction. However, this April I developed palatal myoclonus, which causes clicking in my ears. So that's why I have problems with tinnitus again.

    I haven’t had the surgery but Gerald Brookes is a London based surgeon with the relevant expertise. If you Google his name together with ‘myoclonus’, you should find some links. In my case, low doses of rivotril combined with stress reduction eventually resolved the issue.
