    Marijuana / Cannabis and Tinnitus

Man, going from a stoner who would have a bong in his hand nearly every waking moment when I'm at home to completely cold turkey out of it making the ringing (or perceived) louder... I Was Habituated — Nine Years Later, Tinnitus, Hyperacusis, Headaches and Ear Pain Are Back

@aura, you said it right about tinnitus being a total monster. I'm very sorry to read that you have so much trouble lately. Have you experienced a lot of stress the last few days? It could indeed be the case that stress compounds tinnitus and vice versa. It's hard to get out of that loop...

    Anxiety and Sleep

It is not uncommon to get increased anxiety (and insomnia, other side effects) while an anti-depressant kicks in as your body is getting the extra serotonin. Usually this does not last long though and sometimes a Dr. might prescribe a benzo temporarily while the AD kicks in.

Loud Noise Exposure Caused My Tinnitus — Prednisone Made It Worse

@DSL, given you are in panic mode after this trauma, you will feel miserable and freak out. That will in turn make your brain perceive the tinnitus even worse and more intrusive. Remember that Prednisolone is a strong anti-inflammatory steroid. Did you taper properly? It can temporary worsen...

Pulsatile Tinnitus: Any Suggestions for Doctors / Hospitals in Melbourne/Australia?

The short answer is no. You probably have some sort of mild physical abnormality that is causing it. If it isn't dangerous, don't worry about it. Before you get to that point though, I would get a second opinion. Have someone else look at your images and the angiogram. If they say the same, then...

    It's Not Anxiety Doctors

So far I don’t think there’s much reduction from the P but it’s only been a day. The anti-anxiety meds are helping, basically I can hear the T but don’t care. Hardly a sustainable situation but ok for the time being. It’s becoming very obvious it’s right ear only also. Hope you’re good J.
