Those with Hyperacusis; Do You Also Have Sinus Problems?

You know I just realized something. I haven't had wet snot in a long time. It has been dry for years with almost always a congested nose. Ever since I got hyperacusis perhaps. Anyone else in a similar boat? I am starting to think that I miss a lot of fatty acids.

Those with Hyperacusis; Do You Also Have Sinus Problems?

Just want to see how many have this relation. My hyperacusis is worst when my nose feels clogged. I always had sinus problems though so it could be something that started to become a problem after time? Maybe.

Possible Otosclerosis: A New, Yet Late Discovery About Not Feeling Vibration in My Ear

Hi guys. I just want to be sure. I have been dealing with tinnitus, and I have also been dealing with hyperacusis caused by avoiding noise too much. The thing is, I don't feel vibration in the affected ear. The affected ear doesn't vibrate when it hears sounds so I looked around and researched...

Noises That Affect My Hyperacusis Also Clog My Nose

Anything I could do about this specific thing? To me this has been the most annoying part about hyperacusis. Good news is that it used to be way worse so I guess little by little it has been improving. Couldn't even listen to low volume before my ear would go crazy.

Noises That Affect My Hyperacusis Also Clog My Nose

It is sound induced I'm sure. Or maaaybe it could be tense posture from sound irritation, but i don't think that's the case. It's noise induced quite clearly. Once I hear a sound that annoys my ear, at the same time the right ear and right side of the nose starts to feel clogged. Maybe it's a...

Can We Stop Treating Hyperacusis as a Single Disease with Universal Advice?

Agree. I was recommended all kinds of noises but I believe everyone's cause is different which makes the cure different also. I just recently found out that brown noise (being low frequency) is finally recovering my ear to hear certain sounds again. My ear was so distorted by pink noise and such...

Watching TV or Playing Video Games with Hyperacusis; Yes or No?

So I've been dealing with distorted hearing and a bit of reactive tinnitus (hyperacusis I know) from some sounds. Why Does Pink Noise Hurt So Much Compared to Any Other Noises After Listening for a Duration?

Right now pink noise is the best noise to listen to and it doesn't hurt me anymore. Some extra information: I used to work a very loud job until January 2019. I just want to ask, is this part of the habituation? Am I finally getting there? A lot of sounds don't sound as sharp as they used to...

Michael I honestly can't afford going through all that. I think maybe this'll make sense of it all. I was working quite the loud job until just January. Ear Fullness / Ear Muffled

Thanks for the reply. My issue with my ear is that certain sounds/frequencies can like make my ear react and then dial itself. I wouldn't say adept because it still doesn't hear accurately. It's like a muscle reacting to certain sounds. This sounds like a physical issue ie maybe nerves or...

What's Better? Staying Home on Sickness or Work a Job with a Bit of Noise?

Yeah that kinda helps. I didn't mean work home. I meant quitting work to heal. I have never really given my ears time to recover, and you know in the big city with all those cars, my own car, it is just holding things back. I tried working. I really did. But I need to recover. What would you do?

Is Wearing Earmuffs for Long Periods Safe?

I can tell you it isn't. It's what made my tinnitus way worse. Only use it when necessary but do without them in normal circumstances. Anyone Alse Noticed That Wearing a Cap Over the Ears Is Tinnitus Relieving as Heck?

It really always does for me. I don't get why but it is telling me that my tinnitus is very much acoustic trauma related. What Does It Mean When a Frequency Is Heard Extremely Sharp in the Affected Ear?

In this video there's like a sharp background sound that my affected ear hears as a very sharp noise compared to the other ear where it sounds normal: What does it mean when that's the case? Is it a sound I need to avoid or is that the noise that I need to challenge my ear with? The sound is...

Why Does Pink Noise Hurt So Much Compared to Any Other Noises After Listening for a Duration?

Well after a couple of days I can definitely say that this doesn't work. It also ain't damaging thankfully so it was a nice experiment. It is a good way of getting your mind off the condition and making you feel like the ear is in a normal condition. That helps in some sort of strange way.
