For me, the pain sets in over time. It's usually a few hours, but always less than 12 hours.

It doesn't help with noise tolerance or hyperacusis. Only with the pain. It's an aching/burning pain that's reactive to noise. It gets my pain level to zero. No other meds. I titrate up and down. 100 mg for a few days, then 200 mg, to 300 mg, then back down.

I use Gabapentin whenever my hyperacusis pain spikes. It always helps even in small dosages (max 3x 100 mg daily). It lowers my tinnitus only slightly.

I have it. In my case, it's due to a Patulous Eustachian Tube. It's a terrible condition to have that makes my tinnitus seem like a walk in the park.

I just did an open MRI. So much for it being open, as my head was still 3/4 in the tube. I wore the pink -35 dB earplugs with the wax -10 dB (?) earplugs on top, plus the earmuffs. And it still was loud!

Yes. Once and never again. It was 250 mg NAD IV that took about 45 minutes. I almost stopped it midway. Very painful stomach cramps, which lasted for about one month after. No change in tinnitus. No brain reboot. I'd stay away.

No improvement in tinnitus for me now that it's worse. When it was minor, there was some improvement. I first started Nicotinamide Riboside around 2018, about 20 years after tinnitus started.

When my hearing loss was minor, I know Nicotinamide Riboside improved it. Now that it's worse because of noise exposure, it has less of an effect. But I still take it daily, hoping I can get back even 5 dB.

Yes, my tinnitus is noise induced. Nicotinamide riboside doesn't help everyone, but it's worth trying.

Would you consider any improvement in the thresholds a success or are you trying to reach a certain dB?

Piracetam would always temporarily lower my tinnitus for about a day. But it has recently caused GI issues so I had to stop taking it. I never tried Betahistine. Vinpocetine never helped much. What kind of dosages are you taking of these?

I just bought some Glycine which I will stack with my NAC. I don't see any advantage of using GlyNAC when it is essentially the same thing. What's confusing is Celltrient Protect contains neither, so I'm not sure what marketed under the name means.
