Recently got the Bowers & Wilkins P7 Wireless, great headphones. Nice treble extension and imaging. Doesn't the HD700 have a peak somewhere? Never heard them though.

This is universal, and ultimately true, all around the world. It is however, inappropiate and harsh for those in bad mental shape due to T. Keep in mind that only a select few can be treated where a treatable cause is identified....even by experts.

You usually get earmuffs, but you can wear those on top of your earplugs if you feel safer :)

I think it is counter productive if you over analyze and over protect yourself in every situation. I suggest if you can, to go to some T retraining therapy & couple that with an anti depressant for a short while. Klonopin might also be beneficial in your case.

I have taken antibiotics, ibuprofen, diclofenac, paracetamol etc.. all with 0 effect on T.

My T wasn't noise induced either but above 13khz on that ear it drops rapidly. After some 5 years now it drops a bit earlier. Most hearing tests max out at 8 or 10khz like Mark said.

I doubt it. The root canal removes the nerve of the infected tooth. When root canals fail after treatment or years after treatment and the re-treatment fails aswell a root resection has some potential to upset the trigeminal nerve endings which has been associated with T in some cases. But...

I adapt and re-adapt all the time, mine is pretty dynamic. As a whole it hasn't changed much over the years though.

Nothing. I generally don't regard it as a problem that needs supressing. But if I did, there would be nothing there to supress it with. On very bad days I take a long shower (i can't hear mine in the shower).

Since clinical testing rarely goes over 10khz I doubt there is any reliable data on what your hearing should be like. There will be average information around for your age but I'm not sure that tells the whole story. I bet many people that don't have T have dips or earlier limits than others...
