Is Going to a Beyonce Concert with Tinnitus Safe or Stupid?

There are a lot of people that got tinnitus from microsuction. Too bad they don't do any new studies on procedures like that. My friend went on the last Friday and Saturday show. I listened to it and it must have been so fun. I caught a couple shows when they did the Baker's Dozen. It's good...

Is Going to a Beyonce Concert with Tinnitus Safe or Stupid?

Earplugs protect the most from lower frequencies, those cilia are deeper in the cochlea. It depends where your seats are in relation to the speakers. I did read about Beyonce concerts and most people confirmed the bass is very loud in the stadium. I've been to several concerts without...

Can Outdoor Restaurant Bands Damage Hearing Beyond a Temporary Tinnitus Spike?

An outdoor restaurant probably peaks at 90 dB or so. One thing about music is that it is not a constant level. I mean I’m only guessing, I DJ and usually immediately in front of the speakers it’s peaking at around 90 dB. You probably blocked 5-6 dB with the napkins in your ears. So you are ok...

    Tinnitus Spike with Ear Plugs?

it's an open mic acoustic event it sucks you had a small spike but you by no means were not reckless. I may have gotten to 100 db peak but the average db was probably 92 db. You would know if your plugs didn't have a good seal. If everything felt comfortable you were protected.

As far as higher decibels adding stress to the heart, I would think it's unwanted loud sounds. Musician's and people that enjoy loud music are not at risk of heart attacks. It is when there is loud industrial noises etc. If that was the case some of us with noise phobias would have a higher...
