Hi, Louise. Mirtazapine has a very good report of enhancing mood, it has had some good results, on tolerability and its very similar to venlafaxine in structure. Both drugs are rated as good as each other.

It didn't work fork me, it only works for people with Tonal Tinnitus upto 10khz. Mines high pitched around 12 k so perhaps second generation machine might do it but then again how do you get a frequency over 10k past the ear canal ?

Yes, I came across it because I was looking for a drug that could reverse the cellular changes due to Glutamate toxicity and possibly repair damage to the neurological pathways. Looks like it can put right a lot more that's associated with tinnitus. Only one little snag it soaks up Serotonin :(
