2020 US Presidential Election

Do you have any evidence that Trump is trying to wedge Russia and China apart or is this your personal speculation?
I have as much as evidence if not more than the idea that he is somehow compromised by Russia. Google is failing me, not surprising, but I recall during the campaign him mentioning that it's important not to drive Russia and China closer together. The notion of a Russia/China coalition and what it means for the western world is not new and is in the mainstream. Trump has worked to improve relations with India as well. So I view his actions in the real world, with his statements in the real world, and draw my conclusions. It was selectively said that he wanted Russia at the G7 while failing to mention he wanted several other non G7 members there. Why? To discuss China, who is our largest global threat.

Are you in the "get me censored/banned" club? It's not needed. But, it will be you liberals and maybe one dissenting voice.
Literally no one is in this club. I would click "ignore" like I did on Michael "your disability would be cured with a positive attitude" Leigh, before I would ask the moderators to ban you.

And for the record, I don't want to do that because it matters to me that you are suicidal. But if I were to do that, it wouldn't be violating free speech. People are allowed to ignore people; it's not the same as censoring.

Moreover, most certainly not everyone in this thread engaging in civil disagreements is a full on liberal. As I've stated clearly, I am not. You are inventing a boogeyman. Yes, I hate Trump. But that's like saying I hate a kick in the groin. It most certainly doesn't describe all of my theoretical values.

Ok. Well, most seem to be. I agree with you. I hope that most people who take issue with my content will use the ignore function if they are bothered that much. One poster implied that she wanted a more radical approach used.

How are you doing? I am not doing well but that is in the other section.

I have been waiting for an upswing for months. Rough stuff. I am sorry about your sick family member.

At the risk of sounding paranoid, I just have to ask: Could the results of the election impact FX-322 in anyway? Be it's testing, approval, etc?

With many bio-techs, one concern with politics is coverage of insurance for particular treatments. Hedge funds monitor if those in need of a treatment will pay out of pocket if insurance will not cover all expense. So hedge funds are seeing that many would pay out of pocket for this treatment if needed.

40.75% of the stock is currently owned by institutional investors and hedge funds - with a few big players. Most of the large hedge funds are USA based with some being Boston based. Some money management from central Europe appear to have option spread protection in place and they have a fair amount of their bio tech investments in the hearing space.

This is 100% true:

Tinnitus and related conditions WILL NEVER get the (+ financial) support needed to find a viable treatment and cure with the leftist dictatorship in government and the health industry.

Reading reports/rumors that Kanye West has ended his presidential campaign.
Rumors are it is in response to this (meaning it hurt Trump, not Biden) but who knows:

Libertarians: The market is beautiful and self-regulating. If a business has bad practices, people will just patronize someone else's business!
Liberals: Oh okay, I don't like that their CEO rejects same sex marriage. I'm going to patronize somewhere else.
Libertarians: SMH, cancel culture is so bad!

Ben Shapiro:
Bakers should be able to refuse baking a cake for same sex couples. And hey, if this bothers people, they can just find another baker.
Gay couple: Cancels homophobic baker, finds another baker.
Ben Shapiro: Cancel culture is out of control!

Conservatives:
Rich people are self-made. They pull themselves up by their boot straps and deserve what they get.
Liberals: Oh okay, then we must control most of the media because we are better, our ideas are better, and we work harder.
Conservatives: We're being censored! It's so unfair!

Conservatives:
Now the REAL story is that Bubba Wallace -- the 1 black nascar driver, during a time of extreme divide -- brought to light that a white supremacist could have hung a noose in his garage. Can you believe it? Another instance of someone being accused of racism, and the FBI determined there wasn't any! Figures...and he wouldn't even apologize after his white peers sacrificed by standing with Bubba in solidarity.
Also Conservatives: I'm going to vote for Donald Trump, the guy who started the baseless birther movement, found no evidence, and never apologized for years.
Liberals: Tucker Carlson is clearly a bigot. And his head writer is a textbook bigot.
Conservatives: Oh come on, Tucker can't control what his lead writer -- who's feeding him ideas for years -- believes. Tucker "immigrants make us dirtier" Carlson shows no signs of supporting those ideas.
Liberals: Oh okay, I'm going to cancel him and let the free market take care of this.
Conservatives: So unfair!

Liberals:
I love my country, but Donald Trump is a sack of shit.
Conservatives: You must hate your country for criticizing it.
Donald Trump: 2834729348204702934 tweets criticizing America.
Conservatives: Well yeah, I love my country and we can do so much better than Obama.

Reading reports/rumors that Kanye West has ended his presidential campaign.

What a relief :) .

The guy has a great ear and eye for music and fashion -- he's a visionary in the creative field. His brain is just wired that way.

But what about that indicates a talent for politics?? What transferable skills would he be bringing to the highest office in the world??

He's an artist -- he couldn't sit in an office for hours on end discussing fiscal policy. Despite his creative genius, intellectually he doesn't seem to be anything special -- just the author of a lot of crazy, impulsive, half thought through ideas that only really work if you're designing trainers or a music video, where the stakes aren't high and the end result ultimately doesn't matter. It's not appropriate if you're implementing important political policy that will affect the day to day life of millions of citizens.

It was a childlike ego trip for him to run in the first place. He expects to be handed the power and responsibility because he's zeitgeist-y and popular, without having to do any of the hard work of other politicians, both Republican and Democrat, to prove that he's worthy of it. In this at least, he has something in common with the current President.

Having read his proposed policies, I am :rockingbanana: that he's not running :).

Some light reading from my local bookstore.

Trump isn't mentally fit for office. Even his niece says so.

Rumors are it is in response to this (meaning it hurt Trump, not Biden) but who knows:
Interesting -- I predicted as much earlier on in the thread. Having read his Forbes interview, it seems Kanye and Trump are going after the exact same set of voters. In fact, their platforms are so similar Kanye would probably be better off running as Vice President to Trump (if his ego would allow him to do so) and running for President in 2024.

Although from what I've read, Trump might not be going without a fight in 2024!

(Americans must find their politics so fascinating compared to our dry, Conservative politics!)

I doubt it. The Trump administration did implement Right to Try/Compassionate Use, I doubt it would be unwound.

Funnily enough, she is super anti Trump now.
Yep, she also hated GWB but was complimentary about a number of democrats, including Obama. I presume it's because no right wing establishment politician would ever be extreme enough to satisfy her, whereas she has no such expectations of Democrats.

You find people like her on the far left as well -- they become far more critical of each other than the opposition.

She's a scary woman!
