2024 US Presidential Election

Yes, every time I saw the media interviewing a Trump supporter, that's how it appeared to me as well. No one could make a convincing case to support Trump. Comments from people like, "he talks like me." Or they think he's going to lower grocery prices. Lol. Those with low intelligence just couldn't see through Trump's lies and false promises. And now, the rest of us have to live with those people's poor choices. It's disappointing that the average American seems to have an IQ as low as Trump's.

Experts in the economy say that Trump will be bad for the economy and will increase inflation. You shouldn't get your talking points from Republicans.
No one cares about the supposed high IQ of the media, the celebrities, the "experts", etc.

I came across some statistics today. As of 2022, "21% of adults in the US are illiterate or functionally illiterate. And 54% of adults have a literacy below 6th grade level".

It spells disaster if a country is filled with proud foolish mouth-breathers who cannot read, write, or think critically. This is where we are. Our education system is truly in an abysmal state.
Recently, they had been lowering interest rates since inflation was back down near the Fed's target rate, thanks to Biden and the Democrats. Now Trump plans to increase it with his terrible low IQ ideas.
With the feds cutting rates again yesterday, Trump and Republicans will once again benefit from an economy that Democrats enabled. I can already see it. When the Republicans inevitably tank the economy, Democrats will hopefully win back the presidency + Congress and fix their mess.

The problem is that it'll take a lot of time to fix their mess. Democrats will get blamed again for the economy being bad because our uneducated electorate thinks the president can magically fix things on day 1. You know, flip some switches, and everything immediately goes into effect.

It's a vicious cycle, and I have no idea how to break this cycle. Honestly, I'm fed up with all of it. Democracy will not work if more than half the population are arrogant, selfish people who are mostly uninformed + misinformed.
Of course, peace is preferable, but Russia has engaged in "salami-slicing" geopolitical tactics for too long. It's time to put a stop to it.
Trump's going to starve Ukraine of support. That's how Trump will end the war. There will be a fake 'peace' treaty agreement that will not benefit Ukraine. Eastern Ukraine will be handed over to the Russians, and Ukraine won't be allowed to join NATO.

And once Russia replenishes its military, it'll then lie and claim Ukraine broke the treaty and make another land grab. Because it's Russia. This is how they do things.

It's a grim outlook. Ukraine is done, and evil prevails.

Living abroad and being unable to afford to support my family in the U.S. is hard. My age and my tinnitus make it difficult to support them from here, and resettling is impossible.
I don't know why resettling is impossible for you but if the reason is financial, the Trump administration is committed to lowering inflation and improving Americans' economic standing. Tens of millions voted for Trump because they are hurting. If you wish to resettle in the United States, I hope it becomes viable soon. Best of luck.

Even though the United States has produced some of the greatest minds in history, it's fair to say that a portion of the population may be affected by isolated or insular communities, especially in rural areas. I've seen interviews with some MAGA supporters, and they sometimes fit a certain stereotype. The people from Making a Murderer come to mind.

I think we may have a typical MAGA supporter here as well:

Regarding Donald's proposal to deport immigrants...

Why not reintroduce the necessity of self-sufficiency? In previous generations, there were no free benefits or welfare—you either worked or struggled to survive. On my first visit to the United States, I noticed that the latest arrivals were Puerto Ricans, living side-by-side with African Americans.

No offense intended, but back in the late sixties and early seventies, Italians had just recently risen in social status, becoming more mainstream and respectable. They had worked their way up.

The benefit of a self-sufficiency policy is that when you see an immigrant on the street, you don't view them as a drain on taxes. Instead, you see them as a contributing member of society, working one of the "4D" jobs: Dirty, Difficult, Dull, or Dangerous—the jobs most people don't want.

Latin Americans are often Christian, their food is great, and their women are beautiful... aside from the issue of drug cartels. But no one's perfect, I suppose.

Hmmm! 🤔

Americans are considering the possibility of moving abroad after the presidential election, search activity on Google shows.

Google searches about moving to Canada increased by 1,270 percent in the 24 hours after the polls closed, according to search data. Applications for relocation to New Zealand and Australia increased by almost 2,000 and 820 per cent respectively.
