About to Become a Dad! Any Advice for a New Parent with Tinnitus?

Hi all!

Becoming a Dad on Friday. Pretty damn excited but obviously have my concerns when it comes to noise and lack of sleep.

Any advice for a new parent w/ tinnitus?

Thanks!

Congrats man! I will also become one in 4 months :)

However I am only 3 months into tinnitus and my still hasn't "settled in"

Keep us posted how it goes :) and enjoy your little one ;)

Can I get a list of those people too when you get a chance.?

It's an interesting question re damage done by babies screaming. I did some research I did find something:
I left the door to the backyard open for 30 seconds, and saw a mouse running into my home. I was able to use a broom to get it to go back outside. However, at one point it ran at me, I couldn't help myself and screamed. Now I am experiencing ear fullness in my bad ear.

Whatever you do, try not to scream...

Your post says more about you, than about me.

If we were Actually trying to "separate the men from the boys", we would want to look at objective measures of success and compare things like how much you and I are making per hour, or our net worth. ;)

do u really 'agree' that five years from now this proud father is going to be haunted by a comment left by a mentally ill NEET kid (who in all sincerity i still kind of like) who thinks he's the joker? Very reality oriented, emotionally intelligent opinion @Bill Bauer !
