Tinnitus Since
Last week.
This morning I woke up to a really really odd thing.
I put my finger in my left ear and after that I heard a weird sound and felt it in my ear I could literally feel it..

It went away after a few seconds.

Now whenever the dogs bark ( they are Really LOUD) my ears are sensitive to it and I could feel like what felt like a small pop in my left ear whenever they barked loudly....

ALSO! I been having this annoying symptom on and off for 2 months now..
I have what feels like my ear drum thumping. If DOES not sound like a heart best or match my heart beat. It tumps around literally that's how it feels it comes and goes. This is actually what started all my ear issues...this was the first symptom that happened to me when I got off the plane. Drs said they saw inflammation the first time with this 2 months ago. I might get seen again and than see my ENT again..
Any thoughts to what this may be?

Fleeting T ontop of your normal T maybe? When my fleeting T starts its so loud that it feels like the noise is vibrating through my ear to me thats the scariest part. The small pop could just be another symptom that goes along with T or etd. Ever since i got T my ear clicks everytime i burp weirdest thing. As for the thumping im not sure but it could possibly be another noise in addition to your normal one? T sounds can vary so its possible i guess

My ear does that thumping thing too, esp. after in the shower or when I turn my head. Does not match my heart beat or even make a sound - I just feel it. Only really does it on one side though. I am not sure what it is to be honest. Doesn't particularly bother me. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

When you say you put your finger in you ear, do you mean right in? If so, I wouldn't. As a rule you should not put anything in your ear. I once put those cotton swans in to clean it and ended up pushing wax in my ears and blocking them. I don't think you've done any damage, but it's a rule ENT's generally use. Or do you mean there was a noise BEFORE you put your finger in your ear?

I have had a bit of sensitivity with my ears, particularly when I am emptying the dishwasher as the sound of cutlery hurt. However, it has gone down quite a bit and to be honest I don't really notice it. I am pretty sure it will go. If it doesn't I would go back to the ENT (the good one - no point seeing the bad one).

My symptoms seem to come back and forth too. I'm seem to have sinus pain again, which I thought had gone. I've had a few headaches too which only sudafed seem to help. I only have that loud noise when I yawn, and it ringing seems to increase for a moment. It's so annoying because I thought it was getting better. :-( perhaps it is just working it's way out of the system. Who knows?

Maithe I think it may be tts. The muscles in the ear move around and cause fluttering type noises, and contract causing pain to loud noises. Or certain type of noises, it took me some time but I'm doing much
Better. Ask your doc about it, there are things you can do to treat it. Tts tensor Tympani syndrome. There are some threads about it I think.

There is actual treatment? I got this at first when they told me I had a ear infection. Hmm thank you!

Some doctors prescribe something like valium, or some muscle relaxer if it is bad. Also trying to not be so stressed about sounds, and not protecting your ears from every normal sound is helpful. It takes some time but it will go away or die down.
