Hey @Drecul

do you think CBD oil works well with muscular pain too?

I have been having muscle injury from a silly moving furniture I made and been taking muscoril and voltaren to make it pass, and that is why i wanted to wait to try the oil for my T.. but today actually my muscle pain got worst, so i thought why not start with the cbd oil anyway... isn't it used for relaxation as well or something similar ?

Sorry but just need my muscle pain to go away :)

Tinnitus is a known side effect of voltaren so it's probably not the wisest thing to take right now. Ibuprofen, sensodyn toothpaste... there's a long list of things that have been known to cause T.

OK Yesterday was a complete nightmare. Very loud noise and high pitch all day. Nothing seemed to get it down not even the oil. This morning it had come down considerably. A had a nap of an hour around noon today and when I woke it went suddenly very low, sometimes not even noticeable. At 4 in the noon I had another nap (I'm really tired all day I suspect the melatonin & oil) And now it's flaring up again. Is this normal?

I will be seeing my doctor next Tuesday and I will ask her to sent me to an ENT.

Yes - totally 'normal' for T. Up, down, screech, whisper, then not there, then back with a bang.

Good luck on the ENT front - even the ones who specialise in tinnitus here in the UK haven't a clue of the cause - most think it's psychological - & that CBT - the new cool name for psychotherapy - is the only real treatment - learn to love it, embrace the noise, don't fight it, treat it like a friend - make an effort we'll stop hearing it. Yeah right... of course we will.

Good to know! Luckely I use coconut oil and backing soda for toothpaste.

Hey @click thank you for your advice !

I did ask the pharmacist if voltaren was bad for T and if it was ototoxic but he said no.. I guess I drop the voltaren and start with cbd instead :)

I just want some relief... :)

Apparently T uses the same mechanism in the brain as chronic pain. Like the pain you experiencing when missing a limb called phantom pain. The 2nd youtube ( there are 5 i total) where the woman is talking about the healing benefits of Cannabis is addressing phantom pain as well where Cannabis can be helpful.

Having a background in NLP and hypnosis I still believe a good hypnotist should be able to stop T. Something I will definitely try.

Well I'm not sure what they're like in Italy but over here even the doctors don't know which drugs are ototoxic, let alone the pharmacists! I spent Wednesday at a pre-op assessment, armed with 60 pages of lists of drugs that I don't want to be given, plus an explanation 'sheet' about tinnitus. Fortunately they took me seriously and were lovely BUT... they took the 60 pages, so they obviously don't have their own lists!

I did not post for a while but I also live in the Netherlands and have CBD Oil ...it does nothing for my T or anxiety....but I know it is healthy ;) so that is why i take it. You can buy this stuff everywhere here.
When my anxiety is low my T is 1.5/10 T....when my anxiety is high my ears are screaming 6/10. So I'm working on anxiety right now instead of fixing pure T. I had a spike for 5 months (pulsating T and very intrusive brainzaps) besides my normal T ....in the end it was all anxiety...and it went away. (Not my normal T) Sometimes the pulsating and zap still comes back a little but than I notice that I'm anxious.
So perhaps CBD Oil can have a positive effect on T because your less anxious. The more you fear T the more your brain sees it as an enemy. Well that is in my case and I can only speak for myself in the matter (y)

I think I have become immune to the attraction of these articles as I don't read them anymore. I used to read & re-read everything that was associated with T, desperately trying to 'find' something that would help. If they do find a cure then we'll know about it. The only thing that has really helped me is sleep, low salt diet & avoiding certain foods (although I'm questioning even that now).

If it's muscular, go out and buy a load of bottles of cheap witch hazel - just the normal fluid, not the gel as its not as effective.

Take large chunks of cotton wool & pour witch hazel generously onto it. Whilst it's still dripping smack it onto the area where you have the most pain & bandage it on. If you don't get really wet then you haven't used enough witch hazel. Leave it on overnight ignoring the fact that your bedding will get soaked.

Next morning get someone who knows what they're doing to gently massage you by kneading into the muscle/ligament where the pain is, in a circular motion.

Then rest - rest all day.

If, by the end of the day it isn't better - repeat the above until it is.

My ankle once swelled up enormously because I knocked it badly against something hard. Witch hazel was the only thing I used and it really works. Also, I have a knee injury from tennis that can only be helped by witch hazel. It's amazing stuff. Most people make the mistake of not using enough or of giving up if it doesn't work the first time.

Hey @click

thank you for the tip ! I home alone unfortunately :) Nobody rubbing my back around here... :)

Anyway tonight I am done, super tired and in pain and can't get out to buy it plus most places closed at this time where I live.. But tomorrow if I am still bad I will definitely look into it..

Thank you again, I appreciate the thought !

Hopefully you'll be better by the morning but... if not... for following the witch hazel, this has the right circular motion for massaging your own back & you can lean away from it slightly to keep the massage gentle.

Any one remember those abtronic things from the ninetees? Where you could train your muscles with an electric current? (That didn't work?) I still got one lying around , I wonder if you could use those in your neck to increase your bloodflow. Any one ever tried?

My experience for day 1:
I took 2 drops in the morning 3 around lunch and 4 in the evening (10%).
My T did not change, I'm feeling a little bit tired, but sofar i didn't recognize any changes for me.
So no immediate effect for me, i will continue and let you know in case of changes.

My profile:
44y, male, 1,72m, 78kg;
T on both ears; constant hizzing around 5 kHz, since 2 years;
i do hear T after waking up, when i'm not busy, before going into bed;
i do not hear it, in the shower, driving a car, when concentrating on something;
i would rate it as 5/10

It seems that most people experience worse T when they're stressed or anxious. I keep wondering why I don't. In the last 3 and a half years I've had a few episodes of, unrelated to T, stress. Doesn't ever affect my T. If it's a 'not there day' then it stays away, if it's a 'low day' then it stays low, and if it's screeching then it carries on screeching.

Weird.

@Drecul , Hi, How's your T today? Have you tried the oil? Is it working? Have a good one!
Hi Robert,
I still take the oil and my T was up and down. Made myself a cup of Blue Lotus flower tea this afternoon after I read an article that it reliefs Tinnitus. I remembered I got a free bag with may Vaporizer a year ago. And it's very pleasant. You get an euphoric feeling and it lowered my T and is now more in the back of my then between my ears. Really mellow.

I will do this again that's for sure.
How are you?

How are you?
Hi Drecul, I'm ok. I have a cold or sinus problem. So i have new ringing from this illness. Hoping it will go away when i get better. I have a little fluid in my left ear from this. Going to the ENT on Monday. I'm gonna try that tea. I got the oil but I'm waiting till i get better to try it. This crap makes you obsess about it. It's ridiculous. That's all I think bout. But I have to stay strong for my family. You said you played in a band. I'm a musician too. piano and guitar. Played in bands my whole life. music teacher also. Well stay well!!!!!

Cool I sung, played bass, guitar and drums. (not all at the same time)

I've just returned to this thread after seeing your firrst post last week Drecul, Funnily enough, as I have been reading through just now, a link to this video just came through in my emails. It's indirectly related.

Thanks for posting your experience with CBD oil, I'm going to give it a go. I think it might, at least, help with my sleeping.

My CBD oil 3% should be here Monday or Tuesday from the Netherlands. It was released from customs in Chicago on Friday. I was looking at the Endoca website in California (which also has a European branch) and they have the 20% CBD oil in a paste form similar to the Charlotte's Web type that the child with epilepsy takes. It's expensive - $289 per tube. My thought is that maybe the 3% isn't strong enough and the 20% would work better since the neurons are firing erratically as they do in epilepsy. Does anyone have any thoughts on this or know anyone with T that has tried a stronger dosage of CBD oil? I talked to their customer service and they're not allowed to discuss the medical benefits but when I told them why I wanted to consider the purchase and how I thought T compared to epilepsy he said I was on the right track. Of course I know they just want to make a sale. Thanks for any input you might have.
