Hey All !

I just realized I have been taking 8 drops per day while on the bottle is says from 1 to 5 (it's written very small and I thought the 5 was an 8 and I am still recovering from back pain).. So I will reduce and do 4 drops per day..

Last night when I went to sleep maybe the T was slightly higher or maybe me just a little more aware because of the experiment I am doing.. Can one OD on CBD oil ? :)

Mine has a tangerine added natural flavor on it and it is actually quite yummy... Thats maybe why I got carried away with the drops..

Will keep you updated !

I've received a 10ml bottle of 4% CBD oil from LoveCBD. Yesterday I took 3 drops at around 5pm and three more at 11:30. Throughout the evening I felt as if my head was clearer, which I put down to the relaxing effect CBD oil has. I was happy with this as I could think quite clearly (I was working until midnight) and I wasn't bothered about my tinnitus. I also perceived it to be quieter, or more to the point, it was only apparent in my left ear, whereas a lot of the time in recent years it has sounded like my whole head is affected by the sound. It felt like the CBD oil stopped my brain from being overactive and so this is what caused me to perceive the sound as being quieter and less annoying. I still woke up after around 3 hours of sleep though and lay in bed the rest of the night semi-awake. By morning I felt tired as usual, but today I have been surprised at how I have been able to concentrate on my job and not be feeling tense like I usually am. At no point today have I thought I wish this sound would stop because I can't think. I've just taken four drops just after dinner and have had a glass of red wine. Later I will take four more.
I'll keep taking the CBD oil until it is gone.

By using the term "relaxing effect" would you say it was caused by a reduction in your anxiety? I know that my anxiety level is one of the things that can have an effect on the severity of my T. I think that this is true with others on the forum from past posts that I have read. Therefore, CBD oil might be useful for those suffering from chronic anxiety in addition to their T.

Anyway, I hope that it continues to work for you in the way you've stated. Please keep us posted as to your results and benefits from using it.

With the help of white noise masking on my iPhone, I sleep very well at night.

I was about to purchase the CBD Hemp Oil, however, the last few posts seem to show that it really only relaxes sufferers not the actual T ringing (which is great if you have anxiety and need help with that).

I am intrigued by Trobalt but the slight chance of eyesight deterioration is keeping me from trying it.

@John Meyers You seem to only have had T for a few weeks. If you're already sleeping pretty well, I'd hold off on anything too radical, particularly something like Trobalt. You're likely going to continue to feel somewhat better over the next few months, without pharmaceutical help. Trobalt has significant side effects. It took me 3 months to be able to sleep with only a white noise maker, and a few months after that, I've continued to improve (I've still got a ways to go, but I've made massive improvement over the prior 6 months). It's just one man's opinion, but you seem to be doing pretty well so far with it. I'd hold off if I were you...

Thank you Eric. I feel much more hopeful after reading your post. -- I've been exercising more and eating much healthier which seems to help.

Everyone says stay away from salt (among other things) but sugar (cookies, candy, etc.) seems to be my trigger for louder T so I've cut back on that as well.

I'm glad you are recovering slowly but surely. -- I wish you (and everyone else who has T) the best of luck.

Hello Lloyd. Yes, I do have a busy business and family life right now. Thanks for pointing that out.

Sounds like Trobalt will knock me off my feet for a while. -- I guess I'll just go on with background noise always present to drown it out for now.

My wife is into nutrition so I will tap her resources more and give you guys an update if any of that seems to bring my T down.

@John Meyers some background noise is definitely good, especially in the first few months. i was very lucky to have it be summer time here (i'm in nyc), and so we'd often have on the tv and the air conditioner. for the first few months, that was more or less enough to mask my T most of the time. But you have to face it. Can't mask all the time. Habituation is about getting used to it, and getting rid of your emotional reaction to T. Just try and tolerate it as much as you can and you'll see that in time it's not some monster in your head. It's just noise, and the grand bulk of people habituate in under 18 months. I know that seems like a crazy long time right now, but I bet you'll be feeling a lot better in just a few months. I was, and there's certainly nothing unusual or special about me. Now I'm here typing this to you in a room with nothing but the hum of my laptop going on. And even thought I'm thinking about T (hell I'm typing to you about it), I've been able to not hear my T for the last few minutes. Stick with it. You'll be fine. If you need any help or want to know things I did that I thought helped (or hurt), let me know.

Eric

Hey

Just a quick update.. I discontinued the CBD oil, probably I chose the wrong moment to try it as I have been having back problems and 3 days ago I needed two shots on my back and my butt and went to do MRI and a TAC and found out 2 slip disks on my upper spine...

I don't know if the shots or the MRI or maybe the CBD oil but I have been hearing my T louder, so I stopped everything to try and see if it goes back down and understand the cause of it...

Best of luck to you guys !

@Drecul Hi Drecul haven't heard from you lately. Any update on the oil?

It is still in my diet but almost finnished. My T has been totally erratic, low high and like today not even present at some moments. I,m on moringa powder and started oil pulling with sesamioil and taking 3 mg of melatonine.
I still suspect that a deep sleep pattern makes a lot of difference.

The deep sleep is due to melatonin and oil pulling is done with olive oil, cocnut or sesame oil. This is to kill of harmfull bacteria in your teeth and gums.
So how do you do oil pulling then? What exactly does that involve?
Someone has offered to make the Rick Simpson oil for me - what do u think?

I have taken melatonin which seems to effect everyone but has no zero affect on me.....i take 1mg every now and then but dont feel any effects at all - but does it need to build up over time cos i take one very occasionally as i have not found it to be effective....tried for a few days at the beginning but was severely disappointed...

Thanks Eric.

I'm hanging in there although I can directly tie it to something really stupid that I did at a loud concert. -- I can't go back in time so now I just need to deal with it.

What are the techniques that helped you get through the first few months?

...not sure about the sleep aspect, although, going without proper sleep for an extended period will make it worse for sure but.. ...on a night to night basis I am still not sure if its worse if I sleep to much or too little, therefore I have concluded that its the waking up that is a roll of the dice, not the sleeping per se.
I might sleep little and its fine, long and its bad. Again a random thing where we are stuck trying to find a pattern.

That wonders me also.
I can sleep deep 10 hours and my T is hellish.
I don't know about just sleeping only 6 hours - since I sleep at last 8 hours every night.
T is unpredictable in my case.
It does not react on diet, exercising, sleeping, herbs etc.
But I am still experimenting.

I don't think it's the lenght of sleep that matters but rather the deep sleep that is occuring within the amount of sleep.
Sleeping for 8 hours does not say anything about the amount of deep sleep within the 8 hours. If you awake often ( mostly not remembered) just at the time that deep sleep is occuring than the amount would be less than when you sleep for 8 hours straight.

I believe that melatonin is facilitating deep sleep as my dreams are grazy compared to without melatonin.

I found this study : http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21859051

Just search on oil pulling in youtube there are tons of video's that can explain better than I can. Simpson oil is with THC which could spike your T. and cannabis oil is very potent. On the other hand some say if your T is spiking that means healing is happening. Not sure if that's true. I know when simpson oil is taken at the other end (rectal) you won't get high.
Have you tried 3mg of melatonin? That defenitelly has an effect on me. Maybe you take the time release Melatonin which is different to the stuff I take.

No time release here LOL just basic Melatonin at 1mg and 1.5mg tabs....is all one can get here.
Rick Simpson by the way says that he treated and ameliorated his T with his oil (ie with cbd and thc) and continues apparently to take it to keep his T low......(that is what I have understood but could be wrong and was certainly the reply I got to my post on his fbook page.

Got my 3% CBD oil yesterday. 3-4 drops three times yesterday and twice today.
Stomach problem(nauseea) GONE! Hopefully it will last.
Sleep is much better too.
Less anxious.
Does nothing with my T Im afraid!

Interesting, I would be very careful. THC oil is very potent stuff, you have to build up the dosage so your body can adapt. Or you will be high as a kite. ;)

Yes I would say it has reduced my anxiety. It feels like taking the oil has caused my brain to put less effort towards producing the sound, so, regardless of the perceived volume, I can steal some of that brain power back and focus on some tasks again.

I have taken the CBDOil 3 times each day (approx 08:00am, 18:00pm and 23:00pm), which are just times that are convenient for me. I'm perceiving my tinnitus to be loud again this evening but it is still not bothering me as much as usual. I'm not clenching my teeth at the moment either, I'm not sure if that is a result of taking the BCD oil or not. I clench my teeth a lot usually.

There appears to be no difference with the length of my sleep - it is still just a couple/few hours. I guess it coaxes someone into sleep whereas I need something that will knock me out and then someone to resuscitate me 8 hours later. But it is possible I could be benefiting by getting a bit better sleep during that time.

It's still early days - I'll do another update in the week.

from Rick Simpson's Facebook page today.

Rick "controls" his tinnitus, it is not "cured" as such, he takes his oil to keep the symptoms at bay, his tinnitus was caused from the head injury he received in 1997.

Rick cured his "cancer", the oil is usually a "cure" or "control" for most things.

Just ordered my Hemp oil drops from Endoca.com. I'm doing a low carb diet (no sugar, caffeine, carbs) and I'm gonna try to combine it with the CBD oil and see what happens. I'll post in this thread when I get some results, even if they are good or bad, or if there is no effect.

My 10ml (10%) bottle is nearly empty (used it for 13 days) and could say that it had no impact on my T.
I also experienced no other effects, besides that i was little more tired.

I tried the cbd oil a couple of times, just randomly. It did nothing for my t, perhaps even spiked it a bit. But it did make me feel relaxed, and i mean really relaxed. The tension that is in my body for a while was no where to be found. The pain in my back felt milder and i slept very deep. Might all have been a coincidence offcourse but i think i will keep using the oil every now and then to relieve myself of some tension.

After a week of using 3% CBD, I would have to say that I've had a slight drop in volume and the neuron movement which I could always feel in my head has calmed down. I've been reading a lot online about CBD; there is some good info on the homepage of Bluebird Botanicals and they claim that it builds up in your system.
Also, I found Charlotte's Web Hemp Oil on Healthy Hemp and called them to get more information. The owner was kind enough to give me a 10% off coupon and I ordered the 100mL bottle unflavored in olive oil. A website called Realm of Caring has "client" info meaning you have to sign up. They specialize in info regarding CWHO. It gives suggested dosage info for Charlotte's Web Hemp Oil and says for adults to start with .25mL twice a day and after 4-5 weeks add another .25mL until symptoms disappear. But there's nothing on there about tinnitus; it's mainly referring to epilepsy and other disorders.
Also, I purchased some 1mL oral syringes on Ebay so I can measure more accurately. CW Botanicals has the CWHO also, but they were out of the Olive Oil type. I don't know if these products ship internationally or not. The 100mL bottle is nearly $500 dollars with $50 off using the coupon. CW Botanicals also has a coupon when you click on Charlotte's Web tab. I may be wasting my money but since this oil has helped epilepsy patients and T patients are using Trobalt which is an epilepsy drug maybe there is some benefit in continuing the use of CBD oil. I truly hope I can see more benefit. I want to thank Drecul for starting this thread and all of you that are continuing to share your experiences! Also, I am not endorsing this product; It'll be a few days until I even try it. CW Botanicals says it contains 5% CBD.
