Chit Chat and All That...

You made me laugh, my friend.:huganimation:
The last couple of months have been a bit hard for me.
A combination of things that have left me exhausted, to say the least.
But I still push through my days as best as I can, and always hoping for better days to come.

Warm hug,
Once

Big hugs Once, sorry to hear about your cousin, you are a fighter (not mentioning ye whip though o_O) and have gotten this far with all the crap thrown at you, stay strong my friend.

We will have better days to come, that's what I keep telling myself :huganimation:

Did you make these Elmer? These look so good, very talented.
I did make them. The dancing Limberjacks are mostly hand carved. They date way back and in the Hollers in America the old mountain folk sat on the porch whittling them and chawing on baccer spittin in the dogs eye, while drinking moonshine.

@OnceUponaTime Good to see you in the group again! Sorry you haven't been doing well. :huganimation:

@Jcb Well thanks! I hope it's mild too. My hens just started laying and it's beyond time to have babies! I'm nervous if it gets too cold if momma hen will keep them warm enough. Right now I'm trying to decide which rooster to keep. The evil runner actually is so nice to the girls, and my silkie rooster (the one I want to breed for silkies) is an ass. He herds the girls too much and I'm afraid he'll keep them from the food. And me.

Right! My current cats are getting away with murder. I kept such a tight leash on my three cats before these ones. *sighs* I grew soft.

Having a rough time, everyone. My mom is in the hospital. Something's wrong with her Kidneys. :(

Ha cats are a law unto themselves

How many chickens do you have? See how it goes with the silkie and if he doesn't starve the girlies, if he does you might have to feed them separately if that won't cause issues though?

Sorry to hear that. Seems 2020 is the year of shite, acute heart attack got my wife, 4 hours in emergency last nite. The world has gone mad.

Stay strong for her and know we are here for support.

I'm so sorry. Kidney stuff is scary and tricky. Keep us posted. :huganimation:
So sorry to hear this aot. Here's hoping for a speedy recovery. Sending love to you both x

Wow, thanks everyone for all the kind posts and hugs!

Mom is back home now. She's been sick for the past month or so. Kidney issues misdiagnosed as pneumonia. They put her on some meds, sent to the hospital as a precaution, and now all is well.

They are. Boy are they ever. Plus, and I don't know how this happened, these cats get a way with murder. My other cats NEVER got to do this naughty stuff and they listened.

I have 4 hens and 2 roosters. The smooth rooster is with the ladies right now. The silkie and smooth rooster apparently had a huge fight and I just can't leave them together. The smooth one might be a runner, but he's a gentleman. The ladies love him and just tonight he finally made the bold move to sleep on the same shelf as them. Next to his preferred hen of course. :) Chicken soap operas!

Yikes, at least they've hopefully got it under control.

Oh, my gosh. So sorry to hear this. How is she? Heart stuff is so scary. Especially those emergency room visits where you're waiting for news. :huganimation:

2020 flared up my mom's heart stuff too, but her surgery in August helped. And were monitoring the rest, but it can feel like a ticking time bomb.

Awww, sorry to hear this AOT. I'll keep her in my prayers.
Are they letting you see her in the hospital?

I hope she feels better soon.
