Thanks, Jcb. I will need to distract myself, today. The weather is beautiful, sunny and warm, picture perfect Fall day. I will get outdoors and stay busy.

I hope you feel better, too.

:LOL: We tried putting a costume on him once and he stood there, he wouldn't move for about 5 mins so don't think he liked it  haven't tried it since.

I love that costume though

Yes he's still adorable you can't stay mad at him for long, he just gives you a look or comes over and and puts his head on your lap haha

Getting distracted in Nature is just what I needed. It was/is a beautiful day for a walk, glad I went. I am going to have a tea and then clean up some of the planters. My flowers are beginning to fade away due to the colder nights and shorter days.

Photo of the glorious day. I took it with my phone so the quality isn't the best, but you can surely see how nice it is.

That picture is lovely Emma, quality is just fine. Love to see all the different shades and colours on the trees :)

I'm glad it chilled you some, enjoy cleaning them up all ready for next spring and summer. I had to dead head a few rose buses and plants it's a pain (plus I'm not exactly green fingered)

Thanks, Star. The recipe I follow is so basic, yet so tasty. Your sweet granddaughter would be able to help you for sure. Kids and Halloween go together. I was so happy to hear you that you had such a nice day with your daughter and granddaughter, getting ready for Halloween. :huganimation:

Pumpkin Pie recipe.......(for you too, @Jcb ;))

https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/229932/simple-pumpkin-pie/

Be sure to use the "real" whipping cream to put on top of your piece of pie, or real vanilla bean ice-cream.
Thanks for the recipe emmalee, I am going to bake it next week, let's hope it turns out alright, I am not the best pie maker.

Your lucky word has not got out about your pumpkin pie skills yet, otherwise everyone will be wanting to visit emmalee on the thread where is your dream destination and why? :huganimation:

I Love that, it's great to hear you can take the little things that bring you joy and distract yourself for a while from this screeching symphony of sounds.

Your granddaughter will be in her element with all the decorations and atmosphere :) you will have to get yourself a costume as well.

Let me know what you think of the pie, if I end up making one I'll post a pic and tell you my thoughts on it haha
I did say to my sons I will need to get a costume for Halloween and the cheeky buggers said "You are already a witch, you need no costume", so I waked them with my broomstick LOL..

I will let you know how the pumpkin pie turns out...

I am getting a speedo swim suit, a slide trombone and am going as Jazzer. I've been hitting the gym and have been preparing for the swimsuit show down. The locals are gonna freak, but I am super competitive, and it's worth a night in jail... I'll be posting at the end of the month. Either here or in Playgirl.
Daniel do not worry if you end up in jail, we will get your wife to bake emmalee's pumpkin pie containing a file to bring during visitation rights. If that fails, give me a shout I will gladly fly over and bail you out. ;)

Good Morning everyone,

Been a quiet one this weekend, I took a digital detox at a cottage in the lake district, absoultley stunning.
I though at first it was going to be to quiet but it was odly relaxing just me, nature and my tinnitus.

I just wanted to say if I haven;t messaged anyone back directly or acknolwedged you post I will get round to it.

@Jcb, I must admit that this hits very close to home, It trly is one of the most difficult things I have ever done in my life. I can guarentee that your partner would never see you as a dead weight. thats the problem with this condition is that it doesn't just change you it changes the others around you.

Ste used to love singing along to the radio as he was driving and I noticed one day he had stopped.
I remember the conversation there was a song on the radio that he loved and he wasn't singing as we pulled up to traffic lights I said you are quiet today not in a singing mood and he turned to me and smiled and said I didn't want to upset your ears.

I cried so much that night.

I know Sarah it's heartbreaking to hear everybody struggling, I feel helpless, only really able to give a few words of encouragement, maybe a few laughs with silly pictures and jokes.

I say this a lot but it's just mind boggling what this noise can do to us, it takes away our peace and serenity. I have many up and downs, most of the time in the same day haha

It's good to cry and release that anger, sadness and frustration, now the hard thing is to try and not let the tears keep coming all day everyday. All we can do is take it step by step and hope tomorrow will be a better day.

I'm so sorry about your partner, do you still have any contact with him?

It sounds like you had a nice relaxing weekend, I love the Lake District, so many beautiful places to go. Do you do any breathing exercises or meditation?

:LOL: I would of done more than hit them with the broom hahaha that made me laugh though.

We are still in contact - he was not just my partner he was/is my best friend. and he is still the first person I turn to when I want to laugh, vent, cry display any human emmotion. there is no one in the world who could never see that not being the case. I could not bare to think of him sacrificng any more for me than he already has.

I am a firm beleiver that everthying happens for a reason even this dreadful noise. if we are meant to find our way back to each other than we will.

That would be lovely, nice little house and all that nature to just get lost into.

That's exactly what I think, what will be will be. I'm hoping you will find your way back to each other :)

Haha same here, my partner is my best friend, they put up with so much of my cranky arse and still manage to make me smile, laugh. I just feel like you do, that I am stopping them from living their life to the fullest, we used to be out and about all the time, weekends away and friends round for supper etc but that's all stopped even though I tell them to go out and enjoy themselves (funds are at a all time low but that's a another story haha) they won't as they dont want to leave me.

I'm hoping we will all pull through, it's a tough road but I still want to do so much in life, so I need to keep telling myself I can do this and let my old life go and start a new.

JCB,

All rings very familiar, we used to go to a pub quiz every Wednesday at our local I used to really enjoy it, but found that it was casuing my ears to "RAGE" for a couple of days after so I stopped going. Ofcourse Ste being Ste he insisted that he would not go if I couldn't, I told him not to be silly and go and have fun but found that he was home less than 10 mins after the quiz finished. This was kind of when I really started to see that he was giving up to much for me.

After that it was more evident the little changes he had made were taking over his life.

It is a tough one, but I could not have him out of my life completley, that would be too much.

You are very welcome, Star. The recipe is so easy, easy as pie, as they say. It calls for a pre-baked pie shell, which makes it so simple, although I like to make my own crust. Either way, it will be delicious.

Ha, Ha, my dream destination is right here on my comfy couch with my laptop these days! :huganimation:

Sarahjane, I hope that you will find your way back to each other. My heart tells me that this isn't the way it should have worked out. Why do I keep thinking that he could just sing softer? :huganimation:

If they still manage to make you smile and laugh Jcb, then they are a keeper.:huganimation:Just keep enjoying your movie nights with crisps and muffins (and the dog, of course) and enjoy each other.

Yes I know what you mean, as I am worried that all these little chunks they seem to sacrifice may well turn into one huge one and be too much. They constantly assure me that they don't see their life without me so I don't know?? Possibly me over thinking things eh, I'm a mess emotionally at the best of times since I got T haha but the ole lil positive munchkin inside of me is still hanging on by a thread haha

It's great he is still in your life maybe that will be change again so do what you need to do for now.

I know Emma, just me being me basically haha I just need to get myself out of that frame of mind.
Yeah it is a lovely view, good you have a nice view out of your living room :)
