Lovely.

Perhaps I'm just a scaredy-cat......x
That's the idea, Dave. Just a little pre-Halloween spookiness. :blackalien:

I added some halloween decorations to my garden this morning, not scary, though. The little hob goblins that come looking for treats are far too cute to scare. ;)

Hiya - JCB.
Are these a bit macabre buddy?

Yeah think you are a bit of a scaredy cat mate haha I love all old statues and abandoned houses etc always interests me on the story behind them.

These are mild to what I was going to post :D

As a kid, the Wicked Witch in the Oz movie, gave me nightmares, Those flying monkeys were the worst! :arghh:

I suppose as a child she would scare you haha I never watched it until I was in my teens, oddly enough I watched the second one Return To Oz first. The people with those long arm and legs and wheels on their feet creeped me out haha.

That sounds amazing Emma, we don't really do Halloween as big as over seas but love all effort that goes into it.

Ps I do agree that Lucille Ball statue is freaky, and no I wouldn't take what she's serving in that spoon

It has always been big here, Jcb. Growing up it was one holiday that we kids just couldn't wait for. My brother and I used to take a pillow case out trick or treating. By the end of the night my brother had to carry his case and mine, it was too heavy for me. It's a wonder either one of us have any teeth left, lol!

What great memories to have :) that sounds so much fun, I would have loved to have gone trick or treating as a kid but my nearest neighbours were over a mile away

We did have a few parties and got dressed up so I can't complain really :D

Dentists must love Halloween

The past few years Halloween has gotten way bigger here in Australia, it was never celebrated here when I was a child.

My granddaughter who is 5 loves everything about Halloween, lucky her mother grew up in the states and is used to decorating the house up, so we have lots of decorations to put up this year. I actually thought of you @emmalee when my granddaughter asked if we were going to make pumpkin pies, she seen someone making these for Halloween on YouTube. Yours looked way better though:)

I love you sense of humour, your postings always give me laugh, plus the photos that you post just like @Jazzer are amazing.

Thanks Star, I'm happy you get a little giggle :D I try and not post anything that will offend anybody (we know how easy that is )

Sounds like it'll be fun for you and your Granddaughter this Halloween, might try and make a pumpkin pie myself but I'm not sure if I'll like it??

Well I had a great day today despite my tinnitus screaming at me, I was so busy decorating my granddaughters front yard with Halloween stuff that I had no time to pay much attention to all the nasty stuff.

My daughter inlaw has gone all out buying so many animated screaming zombies, witches, skeletons etc...who would of thought stretching out cobwebs all over a front fence with spiders, would also be a great distraction.

I have never eaten pumpkin pie either, but they look nice, my daughter inlaw said she will make one next week so I will let you know what I think after giving it a try.

I Love that, it's great to hear you can take the little things that bring you joy and distract yourself for a while from this screeching symphony of sounds.

Your granddaughter will be in her element with all the decorations and atmosphere :) you will have to get yourself a costume as well.

Let me know what you think of the pie, if I end up making one I'll post a pic and tell you my thoughts on it haha

I am getting a speedo swim suit, a slide trombone and am going as Jazzer. I've been hitting the gym and have been preparing for the swimsuit show down. The locals are gonna freak, but I am super competitive, and it's worth a night in jail... I'll be posting at the end of the month. Either here or in Playgirl.

Thanks, Star. The recipe I follow is so basic, yet so tasty. Your sweet granddaughter would be able to help you for sure. Kids and Halloween go together. I was so happy to hear you that you had such a nice day with your daughter and granddaughter, getting ready for Halloween. :huganimation:

Pumpkin Pie recipe.......(for you too, @Jcb ;))

Be sure to use the "real" whipping cream to put on top of your piece of pie, or real vanilla bean ice-cream.

Don't forget to add a moose and then show off your "moose knuckle" and you are good to go.

Muh.... one night in jail, you might have a good time in your fancy dress outfit....
