Chit Chat and All That...

F#*k this bolloxs man, I'm feeling so lost today! My heart feels so heavy, noises loud and piercing like all through my body, everything has just got on top of me.

I'm not feeling well today either. I like to think it is the change of weather and that things will calm down again. But man, this hum/drone suxz terribly. ugh.. Like pressure in the head...ughhhh (sigh.) :(

I had plans for today and had to cancel them. Was crying all morning too, JCB. If only my tinnitus was non-changing maybe I could do better in habituating to this crap.

Well, at least I had a nice Spring and Summer.
Sending you a big hug my friend. Feel better soon.

It's horrible Once, I just feel so sad and lifeless at the moment and so so tired. Going to be by self for a few weeks as well maybe that might be a good thing who knows? I've not felt this low in a while and honestly if I didn't wake up tmrw at least I'd be in silence and not a drain on everybody. I totally get the constant change in T, that's what so hard for me as well.

I'm sorry you are having a tough time mate, you don't deserve it, non of us do. I wish I could give you words of hope but I don't know what to say at this time. You are a lovely person and and a great mother, let your kids and family be your strength. Big hugs mate.

Bug hugs to all the lovely people on here.

 You will be missed, Jcb. I truly do understand. I want you to wake up tomorrow in silence, or even just a lower pitch. You are not a drain on anyone here, please know that. You lift us all with your kindness and sense of humor.

I despise tinnitus.

Once, I hope tomorrow is better for you, my friend. Tears are good, they have a way of cleansing the soul, let them fall. :huganimation:

I feel much sadness for those who are in so much pain. Our dear friend @jimH posted this video in the song thread a while back. Music is healing, for me at least, and I am sure it is for many of us.

"When your day is long and the night, the night is yours alone When you're sure you've had enough of this life, well, hold on don't let yourself go 'cause everybody cries and everybody hurts sometimes..."

@emmalee, @Jcb, @jimH

Thank you guys. I really appreciate your well wishes and words of comfort. I treasure them because I know you mean them.

This is crazy. I was ok yesterday and today I woke up with loud drone. I cant stop crying... the drone can really make me anxious and I've worked so hard for the past 6 months to get out of a really low place I was at the time. Ugh.... I'm tired. I pray this is not a long term thing and that Ill be better tomorrow morning.... How's that for wishful thinking. :)

How cruel is tinnitus.

Time to put my super hero cape and toughen up again.
(This made me chuckle … hehe)

Thank you Emma. My head is pounding...ughhh. :arghh::inpain:
But I am crocheting away!!!!!! It distracts me a little.
Wondering if all those dam chocolate chip cookies I ate last night are not the culprit for this drone spike! :cautious::eek::confused::mad:

You are so very welcome, Once.:huganimation:Here's hoping the headache eases up for you.

I agree, crocheting surely helps, I am sure you are creating something lovely. Chocolate chip cookies are medicinal, so are mini chocolate bars and those tiny bags of chips, or crisps, as Jcb would say. :p

❤️

F#*k this bolloxs man, I'm feeling so lost today! My heart feels so heavy, noises loud and piercing like all through my body, everything has just got on top of me.

I had a long conversation with my partner last night and all my fears may be true. I just want to crawl up in a ball and not wake up again, don't think I've cried this much continuously for a while, think I'm all out of positivity these tears won't stop.

I'm going to take another break, not sure when I'll be back maybe a week or month?

Take it easy friends and much love to all you amazing fighters.
I am so sorry Jcb that you are having a tough time at the moment, tinnitus really is one big roller coaster ride.

I am hoping things settle back down quickly for you, you are a good man Jcb and you are right, this condition is bollocks.:huganimation:

@Jcb
Dear brother - we will be thinking of you until you come back.
You always come across as 'everybody's friend,' what a gift you have,
love

You bet, Star. In Canada, Christmas dinner always includes pumpkin pie, yet again, and plenty of shortbread cookies. I also love the decorating that comes with the Holidays, not so much the shopping, though. For us tinnitus sufferers, the good news is the on-line shopping choice. There is no need to shop at the malls.
I am going back to the USA food store tomorrow to buy more cans of Libby's pumpkin puree, so I will make sure I get a few cans this time, especially since everyone is already asking when are you going to make that pie again. I will make sure I keep a can aside for a Xmas pie.

Shortbread cookies are given to us every Xmas by our next door neighbour, she loves to bake all sorts of different biscuits and small treats, and she presents then so nicely in a box with a big red ribbon.

We decorate the house up inside and outside, especially now the grandchildren are at an age where they get excited about xmas, plus all the other children in the street love to see all the flashing light displays.

You are right about shopping malls being loud for us with tinnitus, sometimes it is easier to shop online, especially if you know what you want to buy, because here the shops get so busy at Xmas that finding a car park is near impossible at times.

The year has gone so fast but emmalee, I feel like we have just had Xmas :)

My Mother used to say that "every year older we get, the faster time goes." As a child that was confusing to me, isn't time just that, time? How can it be faster or slower, even?

Today I get it only too well. It was the perception of time that she was referring to, which is very obvious to me now, as a grown-up.

I'm like you, Star, the decorating, family visits, delicious food, etc. This is what makes Christmas special. Oh, and the time off, I love that!:rockingbanana:

Curious. How much you pay a can?

I hear you ladies talking about this delicious pumpkin pie... Can you share the recipe? :D
Here's how much it costs at my local market.

Here it is, Once. It calls for a pre-made pie crust, which adds to the sheer ease of the recipe, but I like to make my own. Your cost is comparable to ours, in Canada.

The American Thanksgiving is fast approaching, you better start planning the menu, lol!

I hope you are feeling better today. :huganimation:

You're really getting me in that "Thanksgiving" frame of mind! I also look forward to the Thanksgiving leftover sandwich the day after...(y)

Oh my, that looks delicious, Jim! I like the bread toasted when I have a turkey sandwich. Also, a home-made club house sandwich is delicious with left over turkey. I think the leftovers are the best, to be honest. Forget the big dinner. (y)

Thank you, Emma. You are the best.
My head feels a little better today. I rested all day yesterday. Didn't do much but crochet and a homemade chicken soup (that counts for something.) Had a cozy movie marathon with my girls. Haha. We watched The Prince and Me part 1 and 2, Jumpers and Golden Winter. :D:p

Yes, Thanksgiving is around the corner but I first have a birthday to think about. I will have a teenager in the house as of Nov. 8!!! Where has time gone??? She wants a guitar, a new bow and an Irish step dance dress.... among other things on her long list that she posted on my fridge...hahaha. This is what keeps me going... She has her mom and she drives me crazy...lol. She also wants a sleep over with her 2 best friends so that'd be nice and quiet (hopefully.)

I'll try that recipe and let you know how it turns out. :)

Same here, em. I make mine on a lightly toasted good multi-grain bread. I made one so fat one year that I had to compress it a bit in order to be able to fit it in my mouth...

Oh Once, I am so relieved to hear that you are a little better today.:huganimation:Your day at home with soup, movies and children sounds like the absolute best way to get through a trying situation, such as tinnitus.

You have a busy few weeks ahead, enjoy them! A Teenager? I was one of those at one time, good luck with that.

The pie is so, so easy to make, and quick, too. I hope you like it.(y)

I like multigrain bread, too, especially when it is well toasted, we seem to differ there, lol. Comfort food at its best.
I grew up on Peanut butter, toast and hot, steamy tea. Breakfast, lunch and even dinner, sometimes.:dohanimation:

Went to visit my mum today. It's more than an hour's drive so I can't do the trip more than once or twice a month. She is getting more and more deaf and I always found it difficult to have a conversation with her before I got tinnitus and hyperacusis. Now it's almost impossible to raise my voice enough without hurting my own ears. She told me she wasn't eating well, then proceeded to be sick and had to be taken to the toilet by her carer. When I went back in to see her she was being sick again.

I came home and shouted at the kids, and my wife shouted at me. I then played Bohemian Rhapsody on the piano rather too loudly, and my tinnitus ramped up a little more.

Beelzebub has a devil put aside for me.

Sounds like a pretty trying day, Mister Muso. You have plenty of stressors, aside from tinnitus, to deal with.

Your wife and children will forgive you, tomorrow is a new day.

I paid 8 aussie dollars a can so it is quite expensive for us, it is now presently on special from the USA food store for 6 dollars.

This store is very popular with many expats that reside here. I noticed you are from New York, my daughter inlaw grew up there and only came to Australia when she was 17. Her sister still resides in New York, I have been to your city once and loved its vibrancy.

I left from New York to cruise the Caribbean, it was a fantastic trip, cruising past all the high rise buildings I was able to take some great photos. Geez, they were better days, that's for sure :)

Glad you are feeling better once, teenagers can be challenging, but also lots of fun. Sounds like she loves dancing and music, does she get that talent from yourself? Enjoy these days once, they grow up so fast, and believe me they will always keep you going :)

My Mother said exactly the same thing emmalee, but I never gave it a second thought, I was just so used to hearing it, but now I know what she was referring too also.

Well I did not make it to the USA food store today, have also been having a rough day, It is so hard to make plans with tinnitus, up, down, up, down, here we go again :(

Withdrawal is not helping, adds so many more layers to everything, but I will keep marching on the best I can, so I am determined to get that pumpkin puree this week.

Warning to @OnceUponaTime this recipe has been a big hit here in Melbourne, everybody loves the pie, me included, it is so moorish :) emmalee has not disclosed its calorie content, and with summer arriving here soon everyone is normally in "I am being good mode", not me, I am taking a break from my keto diet ;)
