On my mom's side of family, her mother's maiden name was D'Arcy and they came from co. Wicklow in which we live about 35 minutes away from relatives. Now I understand why whisky is my drink of choice.

Life with tinnitus is constantly experiencing worsening and pain because people tend to drop things, slam doors, shout and be super loud around you all the damn time.

My bird chirp sound had settled down, but this morning my stepdad dropped a bottle of milk onto the wooden floor. Chirp is now back and my ear is very painful and sensitive. Yay! :(

Give it a week or so to subside. In most cases it does. Did someone somewhere recommend one of the Magnesiums...

Been thinking about freelance work for a while. Anyone here freelance?

I'm actually working with a client at the moment. It happened by chance - I'm enjoying it so much. :)

I was freelance at one time doing multiple jobs. Here's just a few:

Bongo playing
Graves dug
Weddings crashed
Tyre siping
Funerals catered
Cat walking

Just a few that made good money.

Then you better have some good explanation for this ▲ @ZFire. (͠≖_≖ )
Lol. It's simple really. I'm not involved in anything that demonic Karen is talking about. Crazy eyed Karen is in the recruitment/hiring/employee relations branch of HR management. I would be in the compensation and benefits area of HR management which is a whole different ball game (overlaps with payroll greatly) than recruiting. Demon Karen wouldn't even be my manager. I would work with new hires and employees, informing them of the benefits (retirement plans, dental, life insurance, etc) offered by the company and enrolling them (if they chose to enroll).

What I will say though, unfortunately most of HR is there to work for the company's best interest, not yours. People in upper management and execs do quite well, everyone else not so much.

My time working in HR was pretty chill though. My supervisor was cool. She was really nice to me.

@UKBloke, here's the latest fuel consumption on the Yaris Cross.

The Mrs has the driving figured out. We are getting 3.4 liters to 100 kilometers which after figuring the usage of electricity power and fuel, the car is getting 56 miles using 3.4 liters of fuel.

Sounds good, E. Everyone I've been talking to recently about the Electric/Hybrid decision has come out strongly in favour of hybrid. I had the chat with Mrs. UKB but she's finally made the decision that petrol's fine for now (Wifespeak for, "No, you're not buying another car").

Yeah I get it. Wives and or women have a language that we poor men don't understand. 15,000 years of trying to get it correct listening to that secret women language. So far I don't think there's a man who has figured it out.

@Ed209, we miss you and are hoping you are ok. Stay strong. Love to you and the family.
My last few exchanges with @Ed209, he was telling us how his father wasn't doing too well and had like a 50/50 chance to live sadly. I hope everything is okay with him and his family too.
