Chit Chat and All That...

Folks - I hope that nobody will mind too much if I add my voice to the 'Welcome back' committee.
I liked @Jcb from day one - gentle, funny and very slightly crazy round the edges.
As Jcb says - we are all flawed individuals - and I am a prime example - but I suffer if I feel I have hurt anybody - and so I should.

Best wishes

Dave x

Thanks, Jcb. I did sleep better last night, thankfully. Today my whistle is in the background, if that makes any sense at all, and I have the head buzz going on. As strange as this will sound, I much prefer the head buzz to the whistle, it's not piercing. The head buzz is just that, my entire head is full of static, it is just so hard to describe.

Thank-you for your concern, Jcb.:huganimation:

I get you Emma. I think the high pitched sounds are harder to handle as they seem to vibrate through your whole body. I'm glad you slept better :) hope the wine helped as well :D.

Thanks, Jcb. I ended up having a mug of sleepy time tea last night. I am sipping some wine right now, though. ;)

Nice, pace the drinking out in the week like a true pro

I will. (y)

I don't want to lose a shoe after all. That would ruin my fairytale life. :dohanimation:

That made me laugh :ROFL::LOL:

We can't have you losing your fairytale life and a shoe now haha that's just unbearable to think about :arghh:

Thanks Jcb - listening to you folks having broken up sleep and I am in the same boat.
I wake two or three times, and always wake up too early in the morning.
Quite often my constant loud noise starts to get me down during the afternoon, so my misus suggested having an afternoon nap.
I do this now and it helps.
I still wake up to noise, but feel rested and better able to cope once again.
Do any of you do this I wonder?

My sleep pattern is pretty much nonexistent at this point, I try to have a nap but I very rarely succeed.
Glad it helps you some mate :)

Oh dear Jcb - I'm so sorry.
I imagine you have tried Melatonin tablets.
Melatonin is created in the pituitary gland in the brain, so it is essentially a supplement rather than a sleeping tablet.
It worked well for me, at just 2mgs each night.
It tends to help you sleep longer and deeper.
If you haven't tried it I strongly recommend it buddy.
best wishes

@Jcb - one other thing that comes to mind.
If you are going for weeks and months with no psychological improvement - would you consider going to a therapist to learn some meditation?

Years ago when I needed some psychotherapy I had a male therapist for a while, and then a female - mature lady.
(Before you start thinking things.)
I found it much more natural to absorb empathy from a lady.
(Almost a mother figure perhaps.)
This was just a thought to maybe break an impasse.

I'm up and down, some times I'm coping other times Im simply not. It just gets draining trying to be positive all the time but I'll be ok, I have to be eh.

I've seen two since I've had this, tbh wasn't all that helpful (did make look at certain things differently so that's a plus) I do meditation every day and deep breathing exercises and they can help to a certain extent, I just keep taking each day as it comes, as I always say I'm optimistic so I'll keep on trekking this road and hope the bumps don't do much damage.

Thanks for the info man, I'll look up them tablets you mentioned for sleep.

Tired.....

I am doing good, Jcb. It rained all day, still raining now, going to rain all night. I will sleep like a baby.

How do we all manage to function (or at least function on a basic level) haha

I love the rain, the sound, the smell. Does the rain ease you off of sleep then?

I'm hungry.... lol
JCB go get me something to eat...I know you are a good cook...lol :ROFL:

Jcb - I tell you, honestly man, they are well recommended.
Millions use them for jet lag to reset the sleep clock.
When you are lying down, and the light is low or dark, the body's natural melatonin is the hormone that tells the brain to switch off.

You will need a prescription from your doc for
Circadin 2mg (Melatonin.)
It's a very low dose tablet.
I could even use a pill cutter and take 1mg, and it still worked like a charm.

On the continent they are available in shops without prescription, and they even do them in kiddies strength.
There is no 'woosey' feeling the next day either!m
Just go get some bro.....x

I'm weary about medication but I'll definitely give them a go, I'll book an appointment with my Doc. Last sleeping tablets I tried (I forget the name) made me feel awful in the morning, if they don't make me feel awful I'll give the a go. Cheers buddy

Mate I think it's just me, I used to get accused of flirting with everybody but in all honestly I'm just friendly haha when I used to be out and about a lot before tinnitus, I was one of those annoying people who just talked to anybody and everybody haha
