OWLS INCOMING!

He or she has guts. That owl can bite your finger clean off. I wouldn't dare. I don't think we have thought this thing through @Jcb (petting owls, that is).

These are so good, Ha yeah imagine that... never mind our fingers they could have our eyes out before we know it, We go in masks, gloves and all protective gear, that's the plan my man.

@jimH me thinks you protest too much, that's settled you will be coming with us, we know you love these magnificent creatures as well.

That would be cruel and bizarre punishment! He would torture me by continually showing me pictures from his bird, bottle and owl collections!...

@Jcb...please don't let them do this to me!....:banghead:
Hahaha :ROFL::ROFL: Don't worry Jim...JCB is going with you , too! bahaha.
Double the torture. Dont mess with us girls, eh!

If you're going to give Gundam a go, seed and wing are my personal favourites.

You know? Cabbage guy should have gotten a short story at the end of the last Airbender. He really should have.

Yeah, I could watch the entire serie in about two days. Korra took me a bit longer. I reckon the writers had put most of their inspiration in the first series. Come to think of it, I recall many Korra episodes having different writers unlike the last Airbender (always demartino and the other guy).

I bet you love them deep inside.

I was thinking that, I honestly was waiting for a little 30 second clip at the end with him and his cabbages, they missed a trick there.

That's interesting I wonder if I'll notice that through the series as well. I binged watched Aang, which for me is really good. That's one show I'll be watching again and again.
I will give Gundam a go, I'm always up for a new experience haha as long as the story doesn't go all haywire I'll be fine I think.

This is literally the one and only reason I use instagram. It's full of animal pictures. High quality ones too!

Deal. Snowboard goggles and gloves should do it. It's probably strategic to pet the smaller species, they seem more... Tame.

Same! I rarely binge watch anything tbh; series usually can't hold my interest for prolonged periods of time. Avatar is definitely an exception.

Note that Gundam is not for everyone. It's really Japanese like (you'll see what I mean when you start watching). I'd say start with Gundam Seed (and then Gundam Seed Destiny, the heavily critised sequel).

Anyway, tell me what you think. There are many slow bits, but overall, the story line is really interesting, the mecha designs are incredible, and the sound tracks are by far the best of the entire franchise.

We will be kitted out to the extreme mate haha I'm not sure smaller ones are less tame Ha but if they are in captivity and depending on how used they are to humans, some may let you pet them or at the very least feed them.

Same here, nothing really holds my concentration much anymore but that show did, that's a good thing.
I will let you know, it'll be after Korra though, my brain won't be able to take both at the same time. Love a good soundtrack can make or break a show so that's good to know. I watched one about these weird cannibal giant things, I can't remember the name but that was strange so didn't finish it.

Now this is creative. @Jcb

That's so cool, he did the Dragon dance with fire, really creative. Hmmm only thing he was really close to those trees, that's was an accident waiting to happen o_O maybe somebody was waiting in the background with a similar contraption to water bend if the trees caught on fire Ha.

Give Rick and Morty a chance it's such a well written, crazy show. Nice, Bobs Burgers is another of my faves, the mum just makes me laugh every time.

Ha that's good then, should dust them off and give them another watch.

The mum is awesome! She's one of my faves next to Louise.

Maybe skip the original and go straight for the remake.

Oh well. If there not more tame, it'll be easier to save yourself from annihilation. Owls are incredible creatures, but also vicious predators hehe. I know of a few places that are open for public where one can hold owls, hawks, eagles, etc. Haven't been to one though, but I'll save it for it for the collective tinnitus talk owlting (yes, owlting).

Cool mate! Looking forward to your review ;)
Agree, music can really make or break a show. Speaking of which, sound tracks in avatar are SO powerful! I absolutely adore that main tune that is also played during the avatar trance. Sucks you right into the plot.

It's azula in the intro performing the dragon dance right? Ihro lied to everyone, suggesting that all dragons had perished, but in reality, he saved them from destruction. What a legend.

I think the guy did all the moves very slowly on purpose so as to not burn himself or his surroundings haha

Ive not heard of Gundam but to fair I haven't heard of many anime's. Yes Rick and Morty is just great and of course I know have The last Airbender to add to that list :)

Me too, I know Netflix is making it and unfortunately they are so hit n miss with their shows so fingers crossed but I'll watch it either way ha. They better add the cabbage guy, I know that much! Only thing that worries me is budget, it's not really a show you can do justice with a small budget me thinks and more importantly the writing o_O

Ive watched two more eps of Korra, I'm still on the fence tbh. She's not particularly likeable, well not yet anyway.

For anime I always recommend 4 for people to try. Fruits Basket (which I would say no for you), Full Metal Panic, Fullmetal Alchemist, and the one that has never failed me Samurai Champloo. I wouldn't start with Gundam.

I thik Korra took me most of season 1 to get in to. After that it was awesome.

Do anyone of you have Visual Snow? Does it affect your enjoyment of animation and such? I'm starting to have symptoms, and I'm a bit nervous.

I've got on obscene amount of floaters and some dark spots. I can see past it. There there, but I think it's like the concept of T to eventually tune it out. So far I've been able to ignore it.

How long have you had it?

The dark spots happened 5 months in and the floaters 8 months in. To my T. So almost 3 years now.

I've had it as long as I can remember, thought it was normal. But the eye floaters and snow became more noticable recently. I can live with it as is, but I'm terrified of it getting worse. Trying to stay positive.

I do. Have had it since 2016. Recently got worse, unfortunately. Most likely due to a great amount of stress and benzos.

I have to limit my screen time because of photophobia. I don't really see it when I look at my laptop screen unless I focus on it, so no problems with animation. Frankly, it was easier getting used to VS than T; initially, when I got VS, I freaked out for a couple of weeks and then it didn't bother me at all. The recent exacerbation, however, is a different story :/ My VS has been really stable over the years actually. I'd advise you to steer away from too much caffeine, drugs (if possible), sleep well (lack of sleep always made it worse), and use a blue light filter (f.lux) on any screen.

Have you been taking any prescription drugs (or non-prescription drugs)? Stress? Excessive screen use? Neck issues?

A bit stressed. I use my phone a lot also. Can't fall asleep at all because it keeps showing me weird visuals and stuff. I hope I can get used to it, or else I'll go crazy.
