Chit Chat and All That...

What's going on with your eyes?

I had the worst headache last Sunday evening and the hum/drone in my head was exacerbated...horrible. I also felt dizzy. I took 400mg ibuprofen, but it didn't help. Thankfully, Monday morning I was better but I still feel a little light headed. Not sure what's causing it... meh.:meh:
(Don't you dare say it is old age!:LOL: Something @Jcb would say... haha.)

At least my arm is feeling much better. :)

I had this happen a while back:confused: and Tylenol seemed to help. I hope it doesn't keep happening. Glad you're feeling better! ;)

Is that a problem with anyone else? Unable to stop yourself from obsessing? Any tips to let go? I've started up Yoga again and breathing exercises.
I think most of us have obsessed over our tinnitus, I know I have, so I understand what it is like for you Shera. :huganimation:

I am a firm believer in breathing techniques, mindfulness and yoga. All three of these, together, have been so helpful to me. My one tip would be for you to try to do your yoga close to bedtime, this is what I do and it helps me to fall asleep. I also drink a warm cup of chamomile tea after my yoga.

@emmalee I've been doing yoga morning and night. I missed my yoga last night and I think I felt it's lack. I do love camomile tea, I also love to drink mint. Or teas in general.

Yeah! Best feeling. Cause now there's an opening at the local library right in town. First of all my dream job is working in a library or book store, and I'd save on gas!!! Now I have the confidence to hit it up hard and make sure I get the job!

Ugh. Tabletop session got cancled and now I'm just sitting here wondering what to do with myself. I was really looking forward to it.

Shera, get this job! This sounds perfect!
I'm so happy for you! :):):)

The Library, your dream job.... Awesome, I will keep my fingers (and toes) crossed for you.;)

This is the girl I follow on youtube, her name is Cole Chance. I am, admittedly, not nearly as accomplished as she is, but I am getting there. Slow and steady wins the race.

Go for it!!!! I worked at my local library and it was one of the best jobs I've ever had! It was much...much less than what I was making when I was working in advertising in NYC, but sooooo much nicer. So quiet and relax. I used to come home with tons of books, magazines, videos.... haha. Loved it.
Crossing fingers for you. :)

What is tabletop session, aot?

So sorry that you missed it. Maybe you could go for a walk?

It's ok. That's just how it goes. We were going to play a Star Wars RPG. And you bet I'm gonna for a walk....to the nearest Starbucks to drown my sorrows in a Frapé.

This is good news, Once. (y)
Thanx, Emma. I can crochet now!!! Just started a new project... A Celtic Knot Afghan

Here's the link in case you like it.

I also bought the pattern so I can carry it with me when I take my crochet on the go. :)
Are you working on any new projects?

Terribly strained from all the computer use. Long story...

I wouldn't dare! I feel like I'm at least 70 years old myself most of the time, so...:ROFL:

Have you tried lowering the brightness on your computer screen?
Do you wear glasses??
After about 30 minutes on my computer or phone I get blurry vision even with my glasses on! Ughhh.
I just stop and rest my eyes.

Oh, that is so, so pretty, Once. Thank-you for the link!

I just finished up my hats and pom poms, finally. Nothing new just yet, which is okay, my fingers can use the break, lol! This doesn't mean I won't be shopping for more yarn, though.:p

Yup. Lowest brightness settings, blue light filter, regular breaks, eye exercises, etc. Excessive reading is really a thing; I'm going to have to work on that. Lol.

Thanks! I'm excited. Here's hoping.

Ah! I use this channel as well! May I get that accomplished someday!

Wow! That is beautiful! Glad you're back to being able to do it again.

From ZomCom, an adorable webcomic I love. I might post more if you guys want.

Do you know where the Celtic knot originates from? Most don't know what the Celtic knot is, other than a knot. So I will explain, the knot or knitting technique originates from the Arran Island off the coast of Ireland. Thousand years ago when the island had people living on there, which there is people still there. The men were most all fishermen, fishing in the sea. They wore heavy knitted jumpers, or sweater as you call them. Each wife of these men knitted their husbands a type of individual design in the jumper known as the Celtic knot, no 2 were alike. The reason for doing this was because if they were lost at sea or died the wife could identify her lost husband by this knot. Through the years this knot has become a big tourist purchasing product, sadly the origin has been forgotten.

Sorry about your experience with the last job interview Shera, but at least you now have the confidence to nail the next job, one with no hidden surprises.

When one door closes another opens, hopefully for you it will be a library door ;)

Good Luck :huganimation:
