I start black Spanish root tomm. for cleaning liver for toxins. from a chiropractor.... I think I got my tinnitus from toxicity, but cant be sure of it...

I've been taking it for a few months 'cos of the mercury connection. I have an appointment in a couple of weeks to hopefully start getting my amalgam removed properly. I think it is OK to take chlorella while you still have amalgams, but not advised to use the DMSA, etc. I may be wrong on that, but I seem to remember it being recommended as a prelude to amalgam removal in Alison Adams book 'The Natural Recovery Plan'.

Anyway, I've noticed no effect on my t since taking it (so far...).

Stool smell is also improved and chlorophyll has been attributed to relieving occasional constipation.

Ha! Wrong on the first count and very true on the second. Be prepared for foul green runny poo and constant noxious flatulence. Also a slight improvement in the feeling of physical wellbeing, although maybe that is just the time of year.

The mercury connection is invented by scam artists. It's been proven in clinical tests that amalgams are safe. Your body won't have any detectable amount of mercury because of amalgam in your teeth.

A convenient theory for the establishment, and I don't doubt that the majority of people manage to survive without major noticeable damage. But scratch below the surface of that complacent view and there is much to be concerned about. I have read many stories of people who have been harmed by amalgam and have absolutely nothing to gain by saying so. Maybe that is some sort of collective delusion but I seriously doubt it.

After months of research and consideration on this I don't feel any need to debate it with you. If you wish to uncritically accept the establishment view then that is your right. It is misleading though to claim that the science is clear cut. It isn't.

Yeah, doctors used to say it helped clear out your lungs in the 50's. Also the whole fluoride scam makes me wonder...I mean they put that poisonous stuff in water, dreadful, dreadful.

It does do peculiar things to your insides, although for me fortunately it was fairly benign. I've used large doses of spirulina in the past though and experienced uncomfortable elevations in body temperature as well as quite bad discomfort in my gut. And also (though not on the same occasions) feelings of extreme wellbeing bordering on euphoria. I would say these products definitely are not just another food...

If anyone is gonna take chlorella then maybe start on a low dose and work your way up. I think your body gets used to it over time.

ok but how many times have you seen anyone say chrlorella helped their tinnitus?

I had 12 amalgams. Removed one or two monthly 3 years ago.
I've started too feel a whole damn lot better without damn. Might be placebo effect .

I definitely felt a lot worse each time one of them was removed. I had flu, fever and other unpleasantness.
Removed them oldschool without chlorella - I have zero regrets. No idea if it messed up my body or not.

I definitely didn't have tinnitus from amalgams and some of them were as long as 10 years in my system.
I don't have any signs of mercury poisoning - should i take some tests and try chlorella?
I would be interested if this helped anyone with their T volume/pitch.

Well, that was the question Danny Boy posed at the start of the thread. I haven't seen many people say they have taken chlorella, so I'd hazard that the question is unanswered. It is best to avoid making black and white statements with suggestions that science backs you up when that simply isn't the case. It is best to frame a personal opinion as a personal opinion so that people know what they are reading. No offense intended.

Incidentally, this post by a forum member about her experience with amalgam fillings may be of interest. There is a little more info around that post if interested to click the link (arrow):

Do not have your fillings removed because you think it will improve your tinnitus. May be a strange thing to say but you would just start focusing on the tinnitus to see if it was 'better' and therefore you would hear it more. IF like me, you've got tinnitus because of high levels of anxiety, then you are just hearing the perfectly normal sounds within your nervous system, blood flow, muscle clicking etc....in other words, the perfectly normal safe and healthy sounds that your body makes but because you are living in the 'fight or flight' mode you hear them MUCH louder. So, those sounds (music of the brain) cannot stop until you are brain dead because they have absolutely always been there, you just weren't aware until you started to hear them for whatever reason. Because you've lived life without being aware of them in the past, you can do that again.

To explain a bit more; mercury affects many areas of the body, especially kidneys, liver and brain and can be especially noticable when it affects the limbic area which is responsible for our reaction to tinnitus and can, as in my case, affect the acoustic nerve. When I had all my fillings removed (very safely by a holistic dentist) I didn't notice any difference till a few months later when I'd been taking homeopathic remedies to get rid of all the mercury build up. The tinnitus was not much different BUT I was a lot less anxious about it and that was the beginning of my recovery. I could tell myself I was just hearing normal safe internal sounds and actually started to believe it.

I had been totally disabled with the condition for quite a few years and suicidal on several occassions and NEVER believed I could live with the level of noise I had and thought that other people who had very loud tinnitus could not have had it as loud as mine. I cannot honestly say that I know absolutely that having the mercury removed had a direct effect because I may have improved over time but I certainly felt a lot better in myself and much more able to cope with the noise. I can't even say if it's as loud as it was because I don't really want to study the sound. It's there now as I'm typing this but I know it will be 'gone' in a minute when I go and make a coffee. My overall health probably improved quite a bit so I was much better able to cope with any stresses, and tinnitus is the biggest ever stress!
