@snow47

Hello my friend. Been a tad preoccupied battling Colo-Rectal cancer the last month and a bit and still have couple more weeks of treatments to go. Things are going well so need not worry. I am in good hands here.

How the heck are you doing my friend? Been thinking about all of you and hoping everyone is coping well with this tinnitus and other related issues. I don't log on as much lately as my days have been busy. Once I get thru this issue I will be around more to share in some deeper detail on everyone's progresses and set backs. Keep me posted and let me know how you are. I will check back in tomorrow. I have the day off from treatments tomorrow. They said I needed a break lol. Hope the holiday season was good for you also.

Stay well and thanks for thinking about me!

Mike

I'm sorry hear about your cancer. How are you now.
If you can't log, don't worry I understand now. I hope you will be ok soon.

I'm on my way to beating this nasty business. I am sure I will be fine. Making great progress so far. It's a hell of a battle but one I had to take. I think I'll be around another 30 years or so........... lol.

Take care Snow. Hope your doing better my friend.

I hope your doing well Mike. I have yet to look into any of your threads but I will soon and possibly catch up a bit.

Stay well and try to remain stress free.

I've been wondering what happened to @snow86.
Same here,he was talking of ending it and then suddenly disappeared from the forum.I hope he's ok,a lot of people thought the same thing about Lesky but that beast of a man is still kicking last I heard, sometimes places like this can be a huge help and other times it helps just to get away.

Keep up the fight Mike, heard about your battle awhile ago from another member, glad to see your giving it a bloody good kicking.
Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Stay strong Mike and know everyone on TT are behind you with love and thoughts and prayers... and lots of hugs my friend .....lots of love glynis xxx

6 more radiation/chemo days to go........... almost there! Hoping for some positive news when this is all done with. Will keep you all posted
You know you got this, the tinnitus isn't about to let something like cancer take the fronstage for long.
Unless they battle eachother, and you come through cancer free, and tinnitus free.

and tinnitus free.
Tinnitus actually got worse with these treatments. The chemotherapy drugs are most likely to blame. I encountered many weird lower sounds for weeks on end. Not sure if my tinnitus will return to it's normal high pitched squeal, or if I will have the added lower sounds added for life?? What can you do right? Gotta accept this tinnitus no matter what it sounds like or it will crush you.

Good luck with the last sessions and hope its good news after so we can all raise a glass of somthing nice to you....lots of love and hugs glynis x

Oh my. I didn't know about your cancer and treatments. Just wanted you to know when I first started reading this forum your tinnitus cause in your avatar made me laugh. Being too good looking.... : )

You will have positive news after your treatments...your personality is so much appreciated even by those who simply read your words.

I worked (years back now) with an organization regarding cancer and chemo treatments and patients who experienced tinnitus after treatments. I should say I volunteered at that time. Not a paying type of job. It was simply to bring awareness about tinnitus to that community.

Be well and stay strong. I will be thinking about this. Ready to celebrate when your treatments are over and you are cancer free. And still good looking. : )

Take N-ACETYL-CYSTEINE and VITAMIN C and MAGNESIUM with your chemo! They've been proven to minimize the ear damaging effects of chemo! Good luck!

Keep up the fight Mike.

You've got my best wishes & prayers!

Thank you for the kind words of support. I'm sure I'll be riding my bikes for many years to come. Five more treatments....... Monday to Friday and I should have the results of my battle. I know for a fact the tumor has shrunk dramatically as I can no longer feel it to the touch. My last radiation appointments are focused on the tumor only and take about 6 minutes per treatment once they start. So no more zapping of the lymph nodes that caused many radiation burns around my pelvic area and they can now begin to heal. This really has been a brutal fight but the cancer team were awesome all along the way. My final week of treatments................ahhhhh! Be nice to not be going to the hospital 5 days a week. Will let all of you know the results once I get them.

Much love my friend! Keep up the fight with this tinnitus battle!!

Mike
