Favourite Works of Art

Beautiful painting. The guy somehow reminds me of Jeff Bridges.
The man actually reminds me of my uncle who trapped the mountains and streams in Idaho, USA and along the tributaries of the Clark Fork river, which was named after the explorers Lewis and Clark. Too bad it became so polluted. The mining operations along the river dumped their waste into it. Cleaning it over the years removing heavy chemicals and destroying the river beds. Spawning fish has declined.

That's such a pity. Governments should do something about pollution and climate change while there is still time.

My floppy pussycats are literally works of art.
Salvador Dali would be proud.

A great Batman piece by Lee Bermajo, who is almost entirely self taught. This has been my phone's lockscreen for over a year.

Just watched with my 7-year-old girl "Kiki's Delivery Service".

It's the first time I've seen her so impressed.

She even asked me to pause the movie here and looked at this image for a few minutes. She said that this is the most beautiful house and sunset ever :)

Also, "Spirited Away" is one of her favourites.

So I was lying in bed, thinking about @kuromi's new avatar... Azura (¯﹃¯*)

Then I decided thinking about her wasn't enough. So I started looking her up online, and lo and behold, I found these...

and liked them; because I belong to a generation of degenerate man children that would like to date cartoon girls.

Those are beautiful, @Juan!

Below is - I *believe* - the Torse de Clotho, Camille Claudel.

Camille was institutionalised by her brother at a young age, and although doctors insisted there was nothing wrong with her, he refused to release her and she died there 30 years later.

I don't know... seems like she had a couple things wrong with her if you ask me...

The Seven Works of Mercy by the Master of Alkmaar (1504):
  1. To instruct the ignorant.
  2. To counsel the doubtful.
  3. To admonish the sinners.
  4. To bear patiently those who wrong us.
  5. To forgive offenses.
  6. To comfort the afflicted.
  7. To pray for the living and the dead
