Cause of Tinnitus
Slap to the ear / Leading to more issues after ear surgery
I'm not sure if I'm a success story just yet, but after my 15 treatments of Low-Level Laser Treatment (LLLT) my tinnitus has gone from a 8 to like a 3 (on a scale of 1 to 10). My tinnitus is totally manageable now! This was the first week in 5 months that I haven't visited this depressing website lol. Probably because I'm not in panic mode anymore.

I plan on going back in another three months for another 15 sessions. Per the doctors advice.

My tinnitus is still there but it's more like a hiss, as it was a loud solid tone before. Hopefully the healing continues.

Can you tell us more Scott?

First I've heard of LLLT.

Are you in the US?

That's great! Did you also do the functional cranial release/nasal release, or any other treatments while you were there? If so, what was that like?

Yes I wasn't a fan of the FCR, I only did one session and didn't do anymore.

Yes I went to John Laurence at advanced rejuvenation in Sarasota FL. I was skeptical but my tinnitus has calmed down a lot. I think after my next round it may get completely knocked out. Fingers crossed...

Could you tell me the costs, if not a secret? Was it a treatment for one ear?

I read on the BTA's website that they don't see how this treatment could feasibly work.

Could you elaborate? There is a chiro here offering it and I'm wondering what it feels like or what risks are involved.
I really don't think there are any risks, I started to notice improvement after about 10 treatments. All you feel is a warm feeling in your ear. But it has 100% lessened the tinnitus. I also had a trauma to my ear, it did not suddenly just come on.

What type of laser does your Chiro offer? Mine uses the Lumomed laser.

Have you checked if the mild hearing loss that you mentioned has improved?

I meant the cranial release. There's a chiro here who does it but I'm not sure if it's safe or effective.

Do or did you have neck or jaw issues?

Hi!

I have like a blocked feeling and pressured feeling after an acoustic shock 1.5 years ago. I don't have tinnitus or hearing loss.

I bought the red man laser. Do you think it could help? Thanks.

Hi Scotty,

really happy to hear you are having success with the treatment. I hope you can get rid of this dreaded condition for good.

I just don't see how it could be possible for laser light to reach the cochlea.

I also don't think you're lying or self deceiving yourself.

@Artemis2K told me the laser therapy did nothing for him.

I'm no expert but if your tinnitus is from hearing damage it could possibly help I guess. My tinnitus started from a slap to the ear in April.

I agree with you that LLLT is closer to pseudo-science than science. We will see over time whether the improvement stays or not. Our condition is often very variable with periods of improvement and worsening that end up being nothing. It is still relatively recent tinnitus for the OP and spontaneous improvement very possible. Also, his damage does not look very severe (slap in ear, mild hearing loss), and perhaps easier to heal than other more complicated cases. Wishing the best to @scotty03874.

So do you think this laser treatment will help tinnitus caused by neck and jaw issues? How much does the treatment cost?
I honestly don't know but it's possible. It was $250 per session, left and right ear is one session, not each ear. I spent about $5200ish total after the Airbnb.

I called them and they said $250 per session. That covers both ears. 15 treatments would cost $3750. I scheduled a telephone consult in a couple days.

Sorry I missed @scotty03874's post until after I called.
