A quick success story:
This week my wife got talking to a co-worker and the subject of earplugs came up.
My wife confided in him about my acoustic trauma tinnitus (concert) and he told her that he had bad Tinnitus back in the 1980's from gunshots, and it completely faded away. He is around 60 now, and said it was quite bad, with loud ringing, pain and fullness. He didn't say how long it took to fade away, but he said he is fine now and always protects his ears from loud noise with earplugs now.
