I have to undergo a fairly low-level operation on my right ankle.
I asked about the procedure; specifically about sedation. My Dr. said I will not have to be put completely under (but I won't feel anything either).

I have no idea the different types/methods of anesthesia so I'm curious if anyone knows what to avoid (regarding its effect on T) and what to look out for.

I've been through the better part of a year in physical therapy for my ankles; 30+ years of racquetball and running (and not properly maintaining) have left me with 'crankles'. MRI shows they are a mess; but livable. I finally graduated physical therapy (playing some ball and running again) only to have a bone fragment chip away and floating around in my right ankle :banghead:. Dr. says it's not a big deal to remove it and I should be fine; procedure will be done 7 Jan 15 (I'm really looking forward to getting back on my feet again).

Any help is appreciated! Thanx...

Mark

Mark, just had 2 surgeries in the last 3 months. One was in office with local anaesthetic and the next in the hospital knocked out completely. Both were for impacted and infected sinuses and my hope was that it would somehow eliminate my condition. It didn't, but it did not have any adverse effects on my condition. So have at it, no worries. Mick

Thanx for the reply; that makes me feel a lot better! Hope your sinuses are ok. On that thought, I just recently purchased a sinus rinse kit; it works great. It's weird at first but it's really simple and works really well.

thanx again Mick!

Yeah Mark I have one and have been using everyday since my surgeries. Since you contract bad stuff through your nose, it's a good thing to do and it's fast, easy, and effective. And good results from your surgery.
