I tried low volume pink noise and had a huge spike.Usually it's because your masking or sound enrichment while sleeping is too loud and competing with your tinnitus. I turned my pink noise and nature sounds way down so it's barely audible and only masks the silence, not the tinnitus, and my tinnitus had turned much quieter in the mornings.

Mine is also worse in the mornings until about 10:00 or 11:00. I try not to do too much until I get warmed up.
