I Invented a Sound That Knocked Out My Tinnitus

You can try it. I know it works best with the Koss KTX-PRO1 headphones. Some people do use speakers a couple of times a week as maintenance after the 3 weeks are up. If you only play Tinnitus Mix on speakers you should try to play it 24/7 to increase effectiveness.
Dear Mr. Case, thank you for your reply! It is hard to believe and I monitor 'my' loudness precisely... but the loudness of my tinnitus is slowly going down! Is more gentle, and that is very special... But... what is the reason why a head phone is much more effective compared to speakers? And when I use expensive speakers which go to 20 kHz?

So you're experiencing a reduction from this?

How loud did you set Tinnitus Mix?
I thought I set it quite low. I had the slider to the max on the Koss headphones and adjusted the iPod to a low level. That way I couldn't accidentally move the slider too far and have it louder than I wanted during the night.

I seem to get screaming loud noise in my left ear after I wake up overnight or from a nap. I'm starting to think the noise is coming from the small muscles in my ear called the stapedius or tensor typani. It is really loud. That is the side I have TMJD also.

Here's a 8-hour file of David Case's Tinnitus Mix! It's almost 6 gigabytes in size because it's uncompressed WAV! BEST QUALITY!

I started it with a nice smooth sound of shower. Then over the first 30 minutes the actual treatment starts, fading in second by second.

ENJOY!!!

Does anyone have a better place to download this? I tried twice on Mega.nz and it stopped halfway through the DL.

I ordered the necessary headphones, it was this or some supplement. It's coming the 28th of December. @R. David Case I've read somewhere in your comments that you need to have it at least 2 inch from your ears, are there any other things I need to be aware off?

You are welcome, we are put here to help each other. That's great to hear that your hyperacusis is gone like others have reported, if you keep going the tinnitus should be reduced even more.
How would you define hyperacusis? My tinnitus goes up with outside noise like the tv, furnace, etc... My tinnitus does not cause pain in my ears.

That's if you have hyperacusis, if you have just tinnitus you can put them over ears, play on low during the day to get used to the sounds then switch to all night every night for 3 weeks.

That's wonderful you are seeing good results with Tinnitus Mix!!

How do the Koss compare with the Sennheiser in your opinion?

Well in 18 years of doing this the Koss have shown the best results, in my opinion having the headphones close to the ear works faster than just sound from across the room. Let me ask you something, are you playing it on speakers all night and are you adding any day time use? What's the total listening hours per 24 hours?

I have the short version off the Tinnitus Mix site. Do you just loop it constantly through a media player?

I noticed the other one was 8 hours long or so.
You can either loop the hour recording, or download 7-8 of them. It can be done on W10 and iOS. Personally I bought two inexpensive MP3 players, one always on a charger to be swapped out.

I'm in the 50% unfortunately (just my luck) since I have found zero improvement in a month, but... during the day I have this barely masking my intrusive tinnitus.

My hyperacusis is much worse to me, even though I hear my tinnitus over everything... still wondering if one gets pain from a sound lower than 60 dB... is that ear damage... or just pain.

Are you using an mp3 player that plays WAV files? If you convert it to lossy mp3 it will not work and could make things worse.

Thank you, yes it plays .wav files... I dragged and dropped from the desktop to this little thumb drive voice recorder. It seems to be okay... it's just my ears, and I know many more will have better success than I.

I think it's hilarious that some people see positive results from this and write it off as placebo or self deception but then look at positive results from Lenire and don't even question them.

I used the soundfile with the Koss headphones a few weeks ago on my ears but it seemed to inexplicably spike my hyperacusis in my left ear, which is my worse ear, so I stopped.

I had an interesting experience when I first used the file in January this year, one can read about it here:

https://www.tinnitustalk.com/thread...ked-out-my-tinnitus.33001/page-11#post-405969

So mostly I healed my ligament tear with the soundfile at the beginning of the year and for some reason didn't use it to completely heal it, think I just forgot about or was worried about it causing some negative effects and my libido was low anyways because of a medication I was on that I've since come off, a couple of months ago.

Yesterday I tried it again and got further improvements. Think it's completely healed now. The improvements I got a year ago also stayed with me and I noticed no negative effects. I'm using Koss KSC75's because they're easier to position.

At the moment I'm trying to heal my shoulder, which is really bad, especially today. I have been doing some torn rotator cuff (which is what I think I have, can't have an MRI) exercises for months, but it's still gotten worse.

I'm hoping the Tinnitus Mix file will help me heal. Been using it for a few hours and the results are promising. Less pain and better mobility, though I don't expect it to cure it or anywhere close to it obviously.

Both the ligament tear and my shoulder seem to hurt and get worse as I use the sound, but in a couple of hours things get better, think it's just the pain of healing. The good thing about healing the body with the sound is you can really blast your injury with loud volume, something you can't do with the ears.

One more thing I haven't mentioned in this thread. When I used the soundfile on my ears, both times, it seemed to help my visual snow and I used to have this greenish blueish blob in the center of my vision that I only saw in darkness. The Tinnitus Mix eliminated it, but as I quit it gradually came back.

I'd be interested in hearing if anybody will have success with the soundfile to cure bodily injuries. I'm not sure about my shoulder yet but it has definitely helped to heal the torn ligament in my groin. This is much more than a masking sound.

It is extremely bizarre that you would even think to put the headphones on your ligaments to heal them and I am 100% certain that this didn't have anything to do with healing your ligaments.

Many report less pain in neck and head area, I believe Tinnitus Mix has codes that nerves understand. It is worth a try to TALK to other nerves in the body for healing. Jimmy Hendrix was working on healing WITH SOUNDS just before he died.

Made an attempt to fall asleep while listening to this with the Koss headphones and it just wasn't happening.

Crazier and crazier.

You can't even spell the guy's name properly. And to cite him as some sort of alt-medicine expert when he died of drug abuse is all too telling.
