I Invented a Sound That Knocked Out My Tinnitus

You misunderstood me. I have had people with hearing loss get good results, you would think it would not work since they can't hear it but the electromagnetic waves from the headphone coils also come into play, the brain does not have to process the sounds, you should put it at a level high enough that it does not cause pain or discomfort. In the beginning you should start on low volume to get used to the sounds then raise volume to a comfortable level.

Thank you, I know you may have covered that before in the thread but the longer it gets the harder it is to cross reference.

I will probably try this again in the near future, I'll be sure to let everyone know how I get on.

Cheers Rich

If the action comes from the EMF then why would you use speakers at all? Wouldn't it be more effective to put the signal into a coil and hold it next to your ear? That way you could increase the amplitude without any sound risking more damage to our ears.
Well if it was JUST the electromagnetic waves that would be a good idea but I have concluded it is both the sounds AND the waves from the coils. I think this article that I posted a few pages back could explain many of the good side effects of Tinnitus Mix like better sleep, less stress, less pain in neck and head area. These sounds and waves combine and awaken or provoke nerves and pathologies to reset.

Now that it seems the Neuromod device is just a Walkman, I will soon order the Koss headphones and give this a go. Nothing to lose. I've had this nightmare for more than 6 months, so who knows...

If you have only had tinnitus for 6 months you should get results faster than most. I believe the tinnitus causes brain damage so the longer the damage has been building the longer Tinnitus Mix takes to reverse it. Here is a screenshot of a similar system that also uses high frequency pulses to eliminate tinnitus. Tinnitus Mix is more advanced because it does not need electrodes, it just uses headphones to accomplish the same thing.

Next week I will have the headphones. Fingers crossed, that this works.

If the Tinnitus Mix is too harsh for anyone you can get an equalizer app on your device and lower the base and raise the high frequencies, this is what I do on the Sony UX-560 player I use. With the highs raised and the base lowered it works a little better than the raw sound file.

It's a pity people are losing interest. I don't understand. When you're in this situation it comes to the stage you've got nothing to lose. I haven't seen any reports of long term increases. It just shows you how well humans adapt...

Given how easy it is to forge such testimonies (note that I am not accusing you of doing so), I doubt anybody in their right mind would take a picture attachment on a forum as proof of anything.

Many statements in this whole thread don't make any sense to people who are trained physicist or electrical engineers. I'll admit that they do offer impressive tech-sounding buzzwords, though, and I have no reason to believe that it wouldn't be enough to fool a layman.
Everything I post is true and I can prove it, read past posts on this thread and you will find they have already tried to call my letters fake, tried to say Brian Douglas was not real and all of this has been proven to be the real deal. Brian Douglas is the moderator of the largest Facebook tinnitus group and many on this thread contacted him and he confirmed my information.

Yes I agree, @Contrast and @GlennS did their character assassinations on me and scared many from trying Tinnitus Mix. Portrayed me as WACKO and SCAMMER etc. It is a disservice to tinnitus sufferers on Tinnitus Talk because this thread got 23,000 views and I believe I could have stopped the suffering of 12,000 of those if I was not railroaded . Now those people will just continue suffering needlessly.

Thanks @Contrast and @GlennS.

Is that the preferred way to play your Tinnitus Mix with the Sony UX-560? Is it simple to transfer from your computer?

I got the large SleepPhones. I thought the medium were kinda snug. You said the speakers in those would not be adequate to try? I get sick of awakening with static noise in my head. It seems to fade as the day goes by somewhat, especially if I'm busy with some project. Sometimes I use meds and/or hearing aids/maskers. It would be a joy to wake up quiet.

Perhaps, but you won't prove it by adding easy-to-forge picture attachments into your posts.

Even liars say they tell the truth. I'm not accusing you to be one, I'm just saying that claiming "what I say is true" isn't particularly useful in proving one's honesty.

What can I say. I'm glad they are not suffering enough to have the need to do something about it. Good for them and their problem.

you say CD players can't produce sound above 22.05 kHz, please show me on the output graph where the graph line magically stops at 22.05 kHz.
If CD players produce sound above 22 kHz it's unintentional via hardware/line-noise because it's not part of the digital encoding. And if it IS unintentional then it's not really controllable and so it would be hard to imagine that it could play a significant role in Tinnitus Mix therapy.

The more you talk about the way this works the more woo woo you sound.

22.05 kHz is ultrasonic. The Koss go to 24 kHz to make sure any ultrasonics are faithfully reproduced, 4 out of 5 report good results on this thread. That's all that matters.

I do wonder a bit why he didn't offer his Tinnitus Mix on this forum years ago?
I have tried and tried to help groups and they always run me out because they don't believe me. Even Brian Douglas said "If you had the ability to knock out tinnitus you would be a millionaire" -- he retracted and apologized to me when I sent him only 3 CDs with Tinnitus Mix on them. Several people had their tinnitus eliminated by those CDs.

The Sony UX-560 is what I prefer to use because cell phones have been proven to disrupt sleep patterns, even if they are off they are sending out waves communicating with the tower that disrupt sleep.

Someone from HP SmartFriend helped me transfer David's Tinnitus Mix to a iPod Classic. He had to wipe out my playlist to sync with the laptop I'm using. So I just had to go to settings to turn repeat on and now I'm all set to try the Tinnitus Mix. They quit making the iPod Classic in 2014. It is a 160GB.

I will try to swap speakers in the SleepPhones to the Koss ones recommended.

I'm worried to post my experience because everyone is so skeptical when it comes to any tinnitus treatments... Mr. Douglas's posts had me convinced. I've been using David's Tinnitus Mix for 2 weeks (will keep going for another week) and my tinnitus is MUCH QUIETER than before. This is not my mind playing tricks or the good ol' "residual inhibition" for the effect being longer lasting. Using the Koss headphones is a little tricky during sleep but I don't move a lot in my sleep and sleep on my back, so it's not been a major problem. Thank you David for creating this sound!! I'll keep going for another week and report back my on my situation a couple of weeks from now.

That's great news, happy it worked for you as it also worked for me when I was using it.

I am SOOO HAPPY for you, if we can just get a hundred to try it and 50 get good results people won't be so scared and then the naysayers won't be posting keeping people from trying it!!!!
