I Invented a Sound That Knocked Out My Tinnitus

I finally downloaded the Tinnitus Mix on my iPod shuffle but tried to sleep with headphones last night and felt my tinnitus in my head seemed noisier and because I am not used to sleeping on my back I could not get comfortable with combinations of tinnitus and headphones so I finally gave up at 2 am so I could get some sleep.

Will try wearing the headphones in the day to listen. Also concerned my brain will keep the Tinnitus Mix in my head and make the head sizzling even worse which is continuous for me.

Good luck to anyone that has had success.
it takes a few days to get used to Tinnitus Mix. Try playing during the day on low volume for a few hours each day for 3 days. Also make sure you are using the Koss KTX-PRO1 headphones.

I have to say this is the only thing I've found which will mask both my tinnitus and audio distortion. I know the intention is not necessarily to mask but I'm at day 75 or so of severe tinnitus and really tired of hearing my brain. I'm listening to this on loop as though it's Mozart - good stuff! If it makes my tinnitus go away, even better!

I used the soundfile with the Koss headphones a few weeks ago on my ears but it seemed to inexplicably spike my hyperacusis in my left ear, which is my worse ear, so I stopped.

I had an interesting experience when I first used the file in January this year, one can read about it here:

https://www.tinnitustalk.com/thread...ked-out-my-tinnitus.33001/page-11#post-405969

So mostly I healed my ligament tear with the soundfile at the beginning of the year and for some reason didn't use it to completely heal it, think I just forgot about or was worried about it causing some negative effects and my libido was low anyways because of a medication I was on that I've since come off, a couple of months ago.

Yesterday I tried it again and got further improvements. Think it's completely healed now. The improvements I got a year ago also stayed with me and I noticed no negative effects. I'm using Koss KSC75's because they're easier to position.

At the moment I'm trying to heal my shoulder, which is really bad, especially today. I have been doing some torn rotator cuff (which is what I think I have, can't have an MRI) exercises for months, but it's still gotten worse.

I'm hoping the Tinnitus Mix file will help me heal. Been using it for a few hours and the results are promising. Less pain and better mobility, though I don't expect it to cure it or anywhere close to it obviously.

Both the ligament tear and my shoulder seem to hurt and get worse as I use the sound, but in a couple of hours things get better, think it's just the pain of healing. The good thing about healing the body with the sound is you can really blast your injury with loud volume, something you can't do with the ears.

One more thing I haven't mentioned in this thread. When I used the soundfile on my ears, both times, it seemed to help my visual snow and I used to have this greenish blueish blob in the center of my vision that I only saw in darkness. The Tinnitus Mix eliminated it, but as I quit it gradually came back.

I'd be interested in hearing if anybody will have success with the soundfile to cure bodily injuries. I'm not sure about my shoulder yet but it has definitely helped to heal the torn ligament in my groin. This is much more than a masking sound.
Did you have any hearing loss initially? If so, how much? How long did it take for your sound sensitivity to get better?

Lol, you bring back memories of this funny post. My hearing was last checked a year and a half ago, 1 year after my serious injury when it was also checked. Both times it was checked it was 85 dB at 8 kHz and then the "wall" of 8 kHz came and they don't check beyond that, I think it might have been even worse beyond it. My sensitivity decreased but I attribute that to the laser healing me, hard to quantify how much, it's been a lot.

I have mild hearing loss at 8,000 Hz in one ear. Dr said that is enough to set off tinnitus. Do you have any info on this? I have fullness in my ears, even the better ear. Everything sounds muffled in a way.

No sorry. I think your doctor is right that it's probably what set off the tinnitus. I never had much muffled hearing tbf. I also think if people have personal questions they should PM or post in their own threads, so as to not make other threads off-topic, but that's just me.

That's great, yes, it can mask tinnitus but it is best to play lower than your tinnitus while sleeping for full benefit.

Hi everyone, 80+ pages, I confess I only read the first one and this last one.

Have you spent 80 pages to decide if this is a scam? Or did you find some success for some of « us »? :)

I agree it's hard to perform a scam with free stuff hence my post here...

(Unless he's working for Koss , kidding)

@R. David Case, I have Koss KPH30i Grey headphones. Have I got a chance to succeed with this model?

Many have tried expensive headphones that even go much higher frequency than the Koss KTX-PRO1 but they do not work, the only ones that have been proven to work are the Koss and Bose noise cancelling headphones. You can try them but if you have no result, get the Koss.

I wish I had a dollar for every guy that comes on this thread not reading but one page and cries out scammer, the truth is I have spent thousands of my own money to help thousands of people only to be called names.

Does Tinnitus Mix work on tinnitus caused by ear inflammation?

My tinnitus is getting worse every day... I have had tinnitus for nearly 10 months.

Tinnitus Mix works on several kinds of tinnitus, hyperacusis and TTTS. I don't know if anyone with that condition has tried it. It's worth a try and it may help. I would also do anti inflammatory herbs such as raw garlic, turmeric, and ginger.

Do you know of anyone on this forum that got better by using your sound?
That's a loaded question. Now expect a load of bull... I'd like to see the results of a poll. If I didn't have a self deprecating sense of humor I'd be ashamed of myself for trying this nonsense. But if you want to try to sleep through sounds of industrial madness then you've come to the right place. I keep my headphones in a place I can see them so I'm always reminded how depseration turned me into an idiot. I think that's how it helped me the most and thankfully the lesson cost no more than $20 for the headphones. Not bad considering, so maybe I need to thank Mr Case for teaching me a valuable lesson. Usually these lessons come at a price.

David, among your success stories, have you found Tinnitus Mix helping deaf or semi deaf people for their unmaskable tinnitus? I say unmaskable because the deaf ear(s) can't really hear. Why I ask? I have lately become a victim of SSHL or sudden sensorineural hearing loss on my left ear. So far my left has a loud roaring and rumbling sound (like what you hear when yawning loud) and it seems not maskable as far as the deaf left ear goes.

Has your sound track helped those who have tinnitus alongside with SSHL and subsequent deafness?

Yes, Tinnitus mix causes neuroplasticity (nerve/brain healing). In my 5000 member test group many have reported their hearing has improved and even "hearing restored" in a few people.

I would be lucky to announce that Tinnitus Mix worked :) However, unfortunately, for me it works as masking sound at best.

I had no problem with that industrial noise and quickly adapted to it, I can sleep with it no problems. But unfortunately I had no long term effect...

But what the hell, I am taking Saffron now, I have an elevated mood, maybe I will try Tinnitus Mix again now :D

I just read the first 15 pages as well as the last one of this thread.

Has anyone on this forum tried Tinnitus Mix? How many? And did some have a beneficial effect from it?

Thank you in advance.

Hi everyone,

I've downloaded the file.

It's hard to fall asleep with these sounds, but it's possible.
I'm going to try to sleep with this in my headphones (at low level) for 3 weeks and see what happens.

I'll let you know.

Peace and love everybody.

You must play Tinnitus Mix with Koss KTX-PRO1 headphones because of the high frequencies in the sounds.

Yes many here on Tinnitus Talk got good results, about 12 people reported they tried it and 8 got good results. In general it works on about 50% of those that follow instructions. We believe the 50% that it does not work on have reactive tinnitus and sound therapy in general may not help reactive tinnitus.

Hi David,
Thanks for your reply!

By "reactive tinnitus", do you mean tinnitus which increases in loudness or changes in pitch when listening to certain sounds (just to be sure)?

My tinnitus is not stable, my tinnitus sounds change during the day and are reactive to external sounds.

1 hour of any Pink/White/Brown noise make my tinnitus louder.

Anyway, I've been able to try your sound for only 1 night now with my Sennheiser HD 25 headphones at low volume. When I woke up, the headphones were no longer on my ears, but I managed to fall asleep with them.
I think I must have removed them unconsciously during my sleep.

I will keep trying and will keep you posted if this has any effect on my tinnitus.

Thanks for your time.

Cheers.

Those headphones won't work. It's not about the cost of headphones, many that are very expensive don't work. You must get the Koss KTX-PRO1 or KSC-75, they are only $19 on Amazon in the United States.

To see if you have reactive tinnitus, rate your tinnitus from 1 to 10, then put fingers in ears and rate your tinnitus again. If it goes down with fingers in ears, you have reactive tinnitus.

I've honestly just been using chiptunes to mask, as the tinnitus basically disappears then.

This soundtrack is unbearable and my ears feel like they want to die hearing it... I don't hear the tinnitus either but when it feels worse after I think perhaps it isn't a great option for us noise-induced tinnitus people.

Tinnitus Mix works best on noise-induced tinnitus, you just have to use Koss KTX-PRO1 headphones and get used to the Tinnitus Mix. After a few days the Tinnitus Mix changes into soothing sounds.
