does any of you get that? I also hear mechanical clicks in the jaw that weren't there before (so the clicks, but the clicks only, would be technically called 'objective tinnitus'). I just keep getting a nagging feeling that there is a physiological cause to my problem. Maybe something vascular. My tinnitus started after I saw my dentist and required me to keep mouth overstretched for almost 45 minutes. I was also bending my neck in a very unnatural position. It was like the dentist could not bother to find me a more comfortable position, and I didn't say anything. Darn it. I should have dumped him earlier.

A lot of people do experience similar symptoms. Myself included.

The popular theory is that there is some sensory neuron rewiring after peripheral hearing damage so now you have sensory info from somatic sources making their way to the central auditory system.

Objective T is a real sound that can be heard by your ENT for exemple.

There are a lot of nerves in the head : me, who have T because of noise, feel a change in my T when i close strongly my jaw.

T can be caused by jaw problems which put pression on nerve, causing T.

It seems very likely that it's what is happening to you.

But the question is, how can that be ruled out since they don't check for objective tinnitus? and why not?
