It's Me, emmalee

Yes it could be but don't get your hopes up too high for a miracle.
Be realistic in what you might expect to hear from him.
I was told by my ENT to get used to it.
Very cold diagnosis.
I am really hoping you have better indications.
@David Dubros

First, I hope your father is doing well and I also hope the same for you.

I am hoping for a positive appointment, David. There are many posts here that state exactly what you have so I am somewhat prepared to walk away feeling the same. However, I do have hopes that my experience will be different. Please keep your fingers crossed for me.

David, this is the reason I come here every day, you and people just as kind as you never fail to make me feel better. Thank-you for this lovely message.

He's been with me a while. Probably over 12 years or so. I've got a pig thing. I had a couple at school in high school and would love one again but a 500lb farm animal probably wouldn't go over well in suburbia.

@New Guy

:pHa, Ha! I agree, a 500 pound pig would surely not fit into suburbia.

If I could give this to you and if you could have it in suburbia, I would.

@emmalee

Wow! That's a tiny pig. I considered one of those potbellied pigs but they can get to 250 to 300. I'm going to go with chickens, just hens, for my suburban farm. :)

@emmalee

If you get tired, learn to rest, not quit.

I'm not sure what it's like up north but society down here is go, go, go. Achieve, keep moving. The last 10 years or so I've slowly come to see it for what it is. Senseless motion. I find I'm at my best walking through a woods or doing some seemingly meaningless project around the house. The thought of work, then a meeting after work, then another meeting just doesn't do it for me.

I've know this about myself all my life and tried to fit in. If I'm moving at that speed I'm full of anxiety and my stomach is turning.

I sometimes take Monday off and go to a matinee or treat Monday like Sunday after a busy weekend because I knew I was wiped out and needed some time. I could pull it off when I was younger but for the life of me I can't figure out why.

t has helped me in that regard. I prioritize what I need to do and err on the side of what is best for me as opposed to what I "should" do.

Perhaps this is something like your morning walks or when a pair of boots or jeans follows you home.

@New Guy

Very insightful of you New Guy. The t has done the same for me in many ways. The one thing we do have control over is how we react to this situation that we find ourselves in. Prioritizing our needs is an absolute must.

I think setting up a small farm and having chickens, etc. is a fantastic idea, I hope you can make this a reality. Me, I want to teach yoga. It is something that I have in the works. Life goes on, we have to live it.

Working in the yard this afternoon and had to take a photo to share with everyone. The sun was out in all its splendor, albeit quite cool. Still just the smallest buds on the Little Leaf Linden tree. But the sun steals the show.

@New Guy, I know you have knowledge when it comes to gardening, this is my spreading juniper, a side view. I had to remove an overgrown shrub that was next to it. Will this gap fill in, or is the juniper done for?

Here is a front view. The gap is on the right side of the juniper. I really want to keep it if I can, the bunnies call it home as well as many birds. It just doesn't look so pretty from the side.

@emmalee

I don't believe junipers grow new buds on old wood. If you have some buds in there they'll fill branch out and keep growing. I think your juniper looks great from the front so I'd leave it be and see what happens.

More plants followed me home today. Doh! :wideyed:

Thanks! I will keep it! There are not too many new buds, if I am to be honest. I kept the other shrub for far too long, it should have been removed a few years ago, my bad. It's just that so many cardinals and blue jays and bunnies loved it, an awesome hangout and protection from the elements.

What followed you home?:popcorndrink:

There will be pictures on my thread later. More color for the yard. :)

This morning I slept in later than I have in a very long time. Even before the tinnitus I was always up with the sun. Yesterday I spent a lot of time outdoors, gardening some, yard clean up, sweeping the deck, etc. Physical work is a good thing, not only is it good for my body but it is crucial for a positive mind set, especially now that I have T.

I do have a couple of nasty little blisters from the rake, normally I wear good garden gloves but I couldn't find them. The ones I did use obviously didn't add enough protection.

~One of the best lessons you can learn in life is to master how to remain calm

Hi, Rajiin. No I do not mind at all, I am happy to share.

I am doing better each day, thanks to this forum. Before coming here I was very anxious and scared. I believe there is power in knowledge and I have gained some positive insight since my time here. My focus is this, I must remain calm and accept this T for what it is. I cannot "will" it away but I can choose to accept it and then try not to let it overpower me. I may have T, but it cannot have me.

However, I do have down days when I ask "why me?" I get weepy and let myself feel sad when I have these days, but then I start over, right away.

My T, according to this thread, is moderate.

Keep it up you doing well , I think mine is moderate too. I been reading your thread. I am happy for you , that you are handling is well. It can definitely motivate me to cope also. Thanks!

@Rajin

Thank-you, Rajin. I am very flattered.

To know that I have motivated you in any small way has made my day.
