It's Me, emmalee

Its so true.
Things are often easier said than done but our emotions rule everything.
We have to follow our hearts.

Agreed. I try to let my emotions come and go as they please, but when it comes to my thoughts, I work very hard to keep them positive.

How is your Dad, by the way?

@emmalee
Positivity is crucial. Even posting with you right now has lifted my heart greatly. Thank you

Dad is back on track at his seniors home and out of danger. Thank you so much.

We are all very relieved .
My mood has come way up now and knowing you're out there helps me so much.
We don't say thank you enough so THANK YOU:)

Last evening I was moving planters full of soil around. I was placing them exactly where I want them to stay for the summer, then I can plant my flowers. I was in a funky, quiet mood all day yesterday and on top of that I felt more tired than usual.

This morning I woke up early, 4:15 to be exact, and could not fall back to sleep, so I got up. I brought my pillow and blanket into the living room and proceeded to make a comfy spot on the couch. I bent over and twisted at the same time and then...pop...my back went out. I am sure it was due to all the heavy lifts and twisting I did the day before.

It isn't horrible pain, but it is pain that I do not appreciate. It has happened before and in a couple of days, providing I take it easy, it will be better. Thank the stars above for yoga. It does more than calm the mind and the spirit, it does wonders for the body, too.

Yoga is not about self-improvement, it's about self-acceptance.

A fringe benefit....my focus is on my back and not on my T. One must look on the sunny side.:rolleyes:

Went for a very slow, wobbly walk anyway. Just look at this baby squirrel, it would have fit in the palm of my hand.

Oh, no. I'm so sorry to hear about your back. I'm glad it's not too painful and that you expect after a few days of rest to feel better.

I hope for a speedy recovery so you can get back to planting your flowers and going for non wobbly walks.

P.S. the baby squirrel made me smile.

After having my back out and torn ligaments in my thigh for 4 weeks i do not envy but rather know your pain very well Emma.
I hope it does not get worse.
Your yogashould prove to be very good for it indeed.
Your a brave woman if you still went for a walk but the reward of that baby squirrel im sure made it worthwhile.

Today was my first group therapy session and i was in tears sobbing in the first half hour. The session lasted 3 hours and is twice a week for 12 weeks. It can be intense but well worth it.
It took my mind off my T and i feel great after only one session.

Heres hoping for a quick recovery for you Emma and im sending healling thoughts your way. :)

Thank-you David, my back already feels a bit better.

I am very glad to hear that your first therapy session went well and even happier that you are going to continue on with them. Putting ourselves and our inner most thoughts and fears "out there" can be difficult. Good for you for finding the courage to do so.:huganimation:

We are stronger than we give ourselves credit for.

@emmalee

Sorry to hear about your back. I'm glad you're noticing improvement. That squirrel is cute!

My back is better today, thanks to all who sent me well wishes, they are working.:huganimation:

I have had a bit of a reality check. My usual route has turned up something new, at least I only noticed it today. My neighborhood is sprawling and it really is a lovely area to walk with so much to see. "See" being the operative word here. I can't begin to imagine what it would be like to be this child, never being able to gaze into its Mother's face or look at the trees, flowers and sky. Imagine holding on to a soft stuffed toy without seeing its soothing face. :unsure:

Life is good, let's count our blessings today.

Hey David.:)

I am doing well and coping as best as I can, thanks for asking. Hoping the same is true for you.:huganimation:

In just an hour or so I will be heading away for a bit of a break, going to spend some long overdue time with loved ones. Wish me well, David, they live in black fly country, lol! Little winged devils.:blackalien:

When I was walking yesterday, I had a feeling I was being watched, turned out I was right. This guy is a neighbor's cat and he is just stunning. The photo doesn't do him justice, he was up quite high and I am not an avid tree climber, only a tree hugger, lol!

I'm very glad to hear you are doing well and coping as best you can. :)

I hope you enjoy your time with loved ones, even in black fly country.

And the cat is beautiful. You are a really good photographer, Emma. I love your photos.

Hi, Tracy! My visit with my family was awesome. Thanks for the compliment!

@New Guy

John, if I may ask, what do you think? Is it still worth saving my spreading juniper shrub? Things have been growing like crazy given this beautiful warm weather, but the shrub has little to no new growth.

On the other hand, I took this photo just a half hour ago. The day started out cool and rainy, but then it ended up with this beautiful clear, blue sky.

Always so nice to see your pics Emma.
Lifts my spirits after a day like ive had.
But I've learned that tomorrow will be a better one:)
David, I hope today is better for you. :huganimation:I am happy that you like my photos. :) I take my phone with me when I walk and snap photos, it is a great distraction from the T.

@emmalee what a fun thread. I have just been looking through it. Great photos. Love that you embrace life and see the beauty.

I planted more flowers today. Chatted with a few neighbors. It was a better day. My new neighbors have two little ones. The daughter Ella (almost 2 years old) likes to hold on to my leg every time I see her. It is cute.
